As a front end developer, i have to agree. Sometimes i think it’s time for me to move on from this role.

I stopped reading shortly after that part. They sound insufferable.

I think this is the same situation a lot of people find themselves in. I would say I'm the same. The further along I get in my career the more I find I'm interested in learning or exploring for my own good or interests, rather than some fake sense of credibility I got in the past.

I could be wrong here, but I think it's that there are so many people that are passionate about games that they are willing to work for less in order to get the opportunity to work on something they love. What I've seen at local game dev companies is that there is a pretty high turnover for this exact reason.
