>commission is problematic as it incentivizes them to show you the most expensive houses

Don't know everyone's experience but Realtors show whatever house the client wants to visit and clients can and do find houses for them selves.

>flat fee or a flat hourly rate

Does the client still pay this flat fee/hourly rate if they don't buy or sell the home? I'm sure a realtor would have no problem showing you up to X homes for $Y,000 paid upfront.

> that if 3 ppl is good the 6 is twice as good

This 6 person development team is promoted by the Agile Industry. They say 6 people is a sweet spot, so that if someone goes on vacation then some other developer can "cover" them.

Christianity does not teach reincarnation.
It is possible to make 6 figures driving a truck but not very likely.
Re:How to Keep Your Job as Your Company Grows on Tuesday November 13, 2018 @12:55PM (#18443053)
Honestly if this guy was able to bring in business he will be an asset to whatever company he goes to and can probably negotiate a golden parachute of some sort.
Would like a public test account to play around with it. Don't feel like signing up.
A simple Google search would have quickly gotten you your source:

Astroturfing accusation? Really? People profess their love or hate for things all the time. There is a comment below talking about how great Spotify is are you going to accuse it of Astroturfing as well?

Anyway if you simply Google which streaming platforms pay artist the most Tidal tops the list all the time.

I plan to switch to Tidal. They pay artist the most. Only the top, top artist are making money on Spotify. I like to listen to indie/small label bands. I don't buy albums, go to concerts. Tidal seems to be the best way to support these artist.

This is a great way for facebook to get more information about their users.

Great write up on Eclipse. I also loved the IDE back in the day. It was the closest thing to Visual Studio that was available for free.
Re:Amazon Key expands to deliver packages inside your car on Tuesday April 24, 2018 @11:20AM (#16913314)
Amazon should sell installable mailboxes that hold packages delivered by Amazon. Amazon can have the key to that.
Re:Stripe Home on Thursday April 19, 2018 @03:32PM (#16879274)
If one strip employee wants to know another one go talk to them. An internal facebook will either be filled with corporate gibberish, empty, or cause someone to get fired.
It's not. Even if you walked to your job. The additional money you would pay in rent / time / uber is not worth it. Just buy a car unless you live in an actual pedestrian city.
We need FAA style oversight on self driving cars.
So you can rent a car on Uber and then use that car to Uber people around?
So basically it is a database in the cloud that you can access using GraphQL over HTTP?
Yea. To even suggest this is Youtube supports fault is absurd.
The developers have no control over the sensors, tires, weight of car, testing budget, human backup operator, or a million other things that went into this happening. Hell developers probably told who ever they could to not release this. Management at Uber and who ever approved this thing should be held accountable.
Yea that episode the "credit" was objective based on random people's opinions. According to the article, they claim that you have to not pay fines, or smoke on a train to ruin your social credit.
Re:Why I Quit Google to Work for Myself on Wednesday February 28, 2018 @11:19AM (#16483969)
Yea if a developer helps someone there is no guarantee that there will be an email chain generated as proof. If you truly believe this in all due respect you are out of touch with reality. People still walk up and ask for help. Maybe not in remote teams but in the office all the time. Supposedly making these type of interactions possible is the whole point of open offices
Why not have a driver present? Just don't understand how that improves the test.
Re:How a Medical Catastrophe Can Bankrupt a Life on Friday February 02, 2018 @02:41PM (#16293576)
watched this movie a few years ago. Basically the drug companies, medical equipment manufacturers, the GPO's, Health Insurance Companies.

Sure nurses and Doctors make money but if you know anything about that job any good one is probably underpaid.

Re:What Amazon Does to Poor Cities on Friday February 02, 2018 @12:10PM (#16292161)
I think the issue may be with poor cities. If a city is poor it should have cheap housing, low utility cost, low taxes. I can't speak to San Bernardino, but one of the issues in Detroit is that they are taxing people like the city is rich
Re:What Amazon Does to Poor Cities on Friday February 02, 2018 @12:06PM (#16292131)
I think the best people for jobs like this are those that just want supplemental income. Teenagers, College Kids, Part-time or temp workers.
