Messaging alternatives are unfortunately useless if people you want to chat with use other apps. Pretty much the same with mentioned Mastodon instances. Duck Duck Go isn't very good compared even to modern Google slop search. OSM is good for hikes but lacks heavily when you want to find businesses, restaurants etc. around the city. All of the above is hard to replace with alternatives.

Digital versions of indie game prices are basically identical in both storefronts. And the docking experience and coop play is unmatched on Switch. Steam Deck is ridiculously shitty in that regard.
