Re:Airbnb bans making guests do dishes and take out the trash on Wednesday October 21, 2026 @09:52PM (#50190169)
If I had places that would ask for a copy of my ID before giving me access codes to enter the place but wasn't mentioned on the listing. Also listed there was a kitchen but there weren't any plates or glasses... They charged $10 for bed linen etc. Also wasn't mentioned in the listing. AirBnB can be really annoying. Often they aren't cheaper than apart-hotels.

Too expensive, if you ask me. $129 was already pricy but this is just too much. But would it support passthrough audio for that money lol
Re:Fifteen years later, the Apple Cards origin story on Saturday September 26, 2026 @10:59PM (#49862942)

Re:UK to rejoin EU's Erasmus student exchange programme on Tuesday December 16, 2025 @07:07PM (#46296532)

Re:Opus 4.5 is the first model that makes me fear for my job on Sunday December 14, 2025 @05:11PM (#46267587)
There are currently issues with the models. Claude Code doesn't work at all for me
What do they mean with 'dying from dementia'? As typically you don't die from dementia but something like pneumonia or something else. Personally, I wouldn't wish dementia on anyone and definitely wouldn't want to extend my life while having dementia.
You don't need an ID to travel in the USA?

For some reason I have English&German, English&French keyboards and it always screws writing I just want a German or French keyboard when writing in that language. It's driving me crazy sometimes.
Guess more reliance on CloudFlare can't hurt
Ah good old IoT Greengrass and Lambda that made me fail a job interview as it was my only AWS experience and the interviewers didn't belief it existed.
I live in Central London and I don’t have fibre they have been talking about for the last 6-8 years that we will get it. UK lives in the dark ages internet wise

I am not sure why other laptop manufacturers still sell laptops (like Dell) that come with chargers?

Guess Apple idea is that you would return old and buy a new laptop each time the battery is empty

I think I have seen this Radioshack story on CoffeeZilla's channel ages ago?
Re:Are Rolex Watches Cheaper at an Airport? on Wednesday September 17, 2025 @09:48PM (#45283989)
Yet to find a Rolex store that let you buy models. Even Datejusts can not be bought.

Worse deal then what Chinese factory workers get! They have often strict workweek hour limits to meet Western certifications
If it helps to stop the reliance on American digital services and don't mind Google leaving Europe or the European Union. EU should start charging the fines they are allowed too for GDPR percentages of the world wide revenue.
I do not believe authors will see any of this money. I will change my mind when I see an email or check.

Re:SAP to invest over 20B euros in 'sovereign cloud' on Tuesday September 02, 2025 @10:20AM (#45103482)
Less reliance on American cloud infrastructure in the EU is only a good thing.
