Elixir next ;) with clustering across workers (kind of kidding because elixir probably does not make sense for CF workers)

Silly argument. It’s more like buying a BWM and being happy with everything expect a stupid decision like placement of the handbrake. Of course you can complain about it.

They probably have insurance which means it doesn’t matter if it is all in one car or not. And even if they didn’t Samsung is big enough where a loss of a couple million dollars of components isn’t gonna bankrupt them.

All studies point that there is no easier to learn a language in your 30s than in your teens. Probably easier since you have better mental tools for study.
Of course time constraints can be worse (or better)

Very little of corporate law is in court. The mass of things is “does this contract look good?” And “what do we need to change in our business when regulation X comes into force?”

Because other HN bring in their own experience telling us what is real and what is BS. Maybe next time it will be someone else with experience in something else that will call out BS and you will see it. I didn’t really think LLM:s are any near good in chess but I don’t play chess so don’t know what 1600 means. So you helped me by calling BS.

Laws change morals and ethics over time. They affect each other. Laws change what people think is moral (just look at how many people think it is moral to sell alcohol but immoral to sell cannabis. That of course is changing now as laws are changing).

My points is it does not matter that the autopilot is superior to humans we still don’t replace pilots fully.
Re:Why are AI agents lying, cheating and coordinating?

We are. If I as a developer writes software that does a DDOS at another company I can be held responsible.
Re:Why are AI agents lying, cheating and coordinating?
on Sunday September 13, 2026 @09:33AM (#49683827)
You can write code that isn’t deterministic using random. And a lot of traditional code contains machine learning etc.
Re:Why are AI agents lying, cheating and coordinating?
on Sunday September 13, 2026 @05:16AM (#49681786)
Yeah, I don't understand why we treating it as something special. It really should be treated the same as if I code an app and write bad code which result in me accidentally doing a DDoS attack on somebody. Then I should be able to be held responsible if it can be shown that I was negligent. Of course if it's a freak accident that could not reasonably have been prevented by me, then I'm not guilty, but if I made a mistake that should have not been made, then I can.

Re:If coding is solved, what now?: Measuring the sloppiness of code
on Friday September 11, 2026 @11:02AM (#49659664)
Yea, that extreme side exists too. Truth is inbetween. AI with the instructions from a dev that knows what it is doing writes better code than most regular 9-17 devs.

Indeed. And not fair comparisons ”look at the quality of this small one-shot Claude hobby project. The quality is less than this major open source project written by some of the best developers in the world”

It didnt get it from the docs. There is no public docs. I know it because I wrote the code.

Re:Intellectual Fly Is Open

On the other hand there is so much things that don’t require hard thinking. An example is I got an email the other day from a supplier asking if they can turn off their old email. It didn’t require ”thinking”. All I had to communicate was ”turn off graphql but don’t touch restapi”. Instead of sending off such a short and maybe unclear reply I had AI type up a concise and clear reply with exactly what can be turned off and what must be left on. Could I have done it on myself? Sure but would require more work than just a quick prompt and copy paste.
