Re:Puberty blockers trial can start recruiting children on Friday July 31, 2026 @12:57PM (#49125734)
Did you seek professional help and advice (e.g. a psychologist)? Because simply questioning is not enough to access medical interventions in the UK.

In this case regretting it generally means stopping taking blockers and letting puberty progress as it would without the intervention. Puberty blockers give time to assess if further intervention is needed later (such as hormone replacement therapy)

Besides the bait, if the claim is that the evidence for treatment is weak (or well, "evil") a study with appropriate safeguards seems like it should be welcomed not eschewed.

Could also just be similar to the case highlighted in Syre with articles copied from Miljömagasinet, where they published them without permission.

It seems like the article is a verbatim copy from the site that OP posted in the comments (Ludlow something)
Re:LaTeX.css – Make your website look like a LaTeX document on Monday December 02, 2024 @06:45AM (#42295246)
So unfortunate that justified text in browsers looks awful compared to documents generated with LaTeX (usually)....
Makes sense, wish you the best of luck!
There seems to be some mentions of selling licenses (and pricing) in the source. What are the plans around that?

What about your earlier Show HN post for the same service where you quote:

Is it your service?

Entropic wasn't the people that added the hidden screen with the credit
Re:Stack Exchange Data Dump [Archive] on Sunday May 12, 2024 @10:24AM (#40334721)
Added in 2014, but it's updated continuously, e.g. `math.stackexchange.com.7z (View Contents) 07-Apr-2024 02:18 3.4G`
Its the combination of disappointment that it wasn't merged and that it took several months to get back on a significant contribution (whilst adding their own version into their enterprise offering in the meantime). Of course there's going to be some emotions, and rightfully so.
Remember when for a while Azul tried to sell custom CPUs to support features in their JVM (e.g. some garbage collector features that required hardware interrupts and some other extra instructions). Although they dropped it pretty quickly in favor of just working on software

Re:Get a Windows 11 development environment on Monday January 15, 2024 @09:19AM (#39001252)
The main issue is that the duration is variable depending on when the VM was released. When I checked earlier (not sure if this is still the case) the license was valid for 90 days after release.

It's every hour after the "evaluation period" ends, so for the current image it's after February 13th.

Yes and no, whilst centralization is convenient I don't like the implications of everything being served on say Netflix with no alternatives.
Luckily a site like camerasize could feasibly target based on the niche they fill rather than showing generic "personalized" ads. There are ad networks out there that do this, e.g. Carbon.
Worth noting that Transport (different union but also affiliated like IF Metall with LO) already signaled that they'll go on a sympathy strike at several of the largest shipping terminals refusing to (un)load freight destined to Tesla.
