And why is revenue growth below estimates?
It appears to be rare without the "or", at least from the searches I was able to do.

I did find this example, however:

> "My brother is poor, and I want to look as much like him as I can, else he may feel distant from me."

From Mill on the Floss, published by George Eliot in 1860.

https://books.google.com/ngrams/graph?content=else&year_star...

Google ngrams shows 'else' being used fairly consistently up until about 1880 after which it gradually declines. In the 2000s it rapidly picks up, probably because of the programming influence.

Looking at the actual texts, there are a few German ones listed. Plenty with "someone else", "nothing else". Quite a lot with "or else", for example: "Yea , but what am I ? a scholar, or a schoolmaster, or else some youth".

Getting hung up on numbers isn't really correct. Much more goes into it - altitudes, satellite capabilities, target customers, etc. Large numbers is one approach but it is not the only one.
$146 is enough to buy lifelong loyalty?
This misunderstands mathematics. There are entire branches of the subject that have no practical use. Some things also appeared to be useless for centuries before physicists discovered they actually have an application.

1) I have a bus stop outside my house that has a very convenient route, 2) It goes every 15 minutes, sometimes more. If I drive I have to spend more time than that looking for parking. 3) Not really true. I have managed to move several large suitcases in one go. 4) Scales better than cars? 5) Fortunately the public in my country seem cleaner and less drug addicted than those in yours.
Re:EU plans to fast-track antitrust approval of SpaceX rival on Sunday October 18, 2026 @01:34AM (#50138191)
The "response to SpaceX" part is just management trying to sell the project. Everyone knows this will be a bloated inefficient operation.

Europe has plenty of other more nimble alternatives emerging. Not that SpaceX care, they are removing themselves from the market entirely.

That's not how we understand the laws of quantum physics.

An if-else is executing a decision premade by a programmer.
I feel his aides are trying to distract him with nonsense like this to stop him from saying something so stupid it will sink the Republicans even further in the polls.

Have you ever been to Japan? Because what you say does not resemble reality. There is no reason to be sad!
When I made a new X account a while back it immediately started showing me awful videos of people getting killed etc. This was without me engaging in anyway, just what came with a fresh account. So yes, maybe it gets worse if I engage, but the site seemed primed to be awful.
Re:The top secret URSALA, RAQUEL, and FARRAH satellites on Thursday October 01, 2026 @12:13PM (#49923629)
I have also wondered about similar questions.

One is that Hubble's mirror is not expected to burn up on re-entry and may therefore hit the ground.

How is this managed with similar spy satellites? Presumably the problem is more acute, because not only do you need to avoid killing someone, but you also want to avoid any chance of falling on hostile territory. Are they actively steered into known parts of the ocean? Or does something else happen (one suggestion with Hubble was actually to fire a missile at it just before entry in order to break the mirror in space).

Do none of them read the things they sign? Because if not, I see the potential for mischief.

What a cruel mess.

Why bother reusing at all then?

They seem to have given up on them for now.
Falcon 9's don't fly raptors
By the time they are ready, Trump will have long lost the ability to name anything.
Why would you go after long retired folks though?

Isn't mostly capacitors that limit the lifespan? With a proper maintenance plan (as airliners follow) you could probably keep servers running for a long time.

Honestly, the AI tone makes me wonder if there's any truth behind the story or its just a hallucination. You'd probably be better off making grammar errors, or simply asking AI to list your errors and explain to you why they are wrong.

Tell me more??

I can't shake the feeling that Isaacman is doing this because he personally wants to fly a Blackbird.
