The work those few do help people like you in ways you might not completely fathom. Reddit doesn't auto-regulate itself as much as we think. It's hard work but a small percentage of people who are paid nothing, and use 3rd-party tools to work best.
I suppose my question is how you fight your mental battles.
I've played games for 10 hours and returned them with no problem. I don't think you're _wrong_ but I don't think you're right either. I worded my responses well, I told them what was good and bad, and my very reason why.
I've enjoyed their support system for returns and have very little to complain about with it.
Something like that?
Managing those kinds of blocker apps, and security and such are all great when you're 'in the zone' and have it fresh at the forefront of your thoughts. For me, it only takes a week or so of not thinking about it before my standards slip and I have Just Another Application™ running.
I also wouldn't mind waiting 3 minutes if there was a direction telling me so, with a timer.
I feel like I learn them during the purchasing/comparison period then never need to look again unless I'm repeating that cycle.
It's a fear I carry for no particular reason, but one I hope to see eradicated (or better managed) in my future where it could be a possibility.
This particular article looks exciting, and something I can almost make sense of.
I've found it chaotically buggy - that is, sometimes it's great, amazing, works as expected and other times it simple fails quietly and in such a way I can't reverse easily - chaotic.
Saving changes to fields is hit-and-miss. Anything 'metadata'-related towards fields is a scary thing now. We use it for a particularly lightweight project but I wish we didn't after experiencing it enough now.
Note: I'm aware of its status, I still think they consider themselves 'alpha' and the developer that chose this was aware of the risks.
That's a shame!

I did that for years and I never batted an eyelid. I enjoyed the levelling and the returns those gave, I enjoyed the mindless attacking sprites all-day and the optimisation that allowed me, I enjoyed sharing that load with friends (new and old, real and digital).
I'm not your OP but I can absolutely say I would love to relive a year of that life given genie-magic.
A friend once said all we need is 'the sinew between the questions'. Connecting them (contexts, intents, etc) and making it close to 1.0 probability on decisions through the entire conversation.
I think the 'marble rock' of Jarvis is there already, and with ML/AI we can likely make it 'David-shaped' but the refinement, 'warmth' and complexity of Jarvis is man-hours that would likely be better spent elsewhere.
Can you recommend any starting paths for someone like you mentioned?
Surely Youtube being the size it is has a few Github issues against it saying 'I can't load images because I block the ads'?
I guess what I'm saying is, what is the negative impact of your first point? That some content you want won't come through because the content you don't comes from the same domain?
I think it's the 'second level' of UI stuff - menu's behind buttons, settings pages, things like that. I think Chrome does a good job balancing 'advanced user' and 'basic user' stuff. Firefox feels a little too 'dumbed down' for me.
I'm honestly trying hard to put a fine point on it, but it a lot of it just feels 'off'. I'd love a very minimal-design, maximum function look into it.
No sources, it was just in passing somewhere, but I distinctly remember it.
Best of luck to you, friend. Whatever your endeavours, however you -truly- want things to be, I hope it goes the direction you plan.
