This needs a lot more pictures for me to understand it. Sounds like a promising technology.
LLMs have built-in biases and preferences. It seems irresponsible to be feeding them court documents and asking for analysis or decisions. Prompt injection is level one manipulation, there are linguistic games that can have similar results but aren’t as detectable.
Google must improve their core search product because it’s far simpler and faster to ask LLMs for quick answers. If SEO spammers get run over in the process, that’s a good outcome.
Re:I Hate Online Waiting Rooms on Saturday October 31, 2026 @02:47PM (#50318835)
The event organizers likely prefer that the most dedicated, excited fans attend. Fans willing to wait hours for tickets or pay more (mostly) select for that criteria. A lottery is more fair to everyone with an interest in attending, but does not reward the most committed fans.

There is probably a system that is fair and rewards fans, but I can’t think of one at the moment.

Re:Ejaculation frequency and prostate cancer (2022) on Saturday October 31, 2026 @02:31PM (#50318660)
Unless I missed it, it doesn’t speculate why?
I don’t want robots on the sidewalk because I guarantee they won’t move out of the way of people jogging, kids riding bikes, older people, etc. They’re moving obstacles. Delivery drones are a more respectful option, as long as they’re quiet like the Zipline ones Walmart uses.
Re:Binance's possible hack triggers $3B freeze in crypto assets on Thursday October 29, 2026 @10:36PM (#50299208)
If the exchanges can and will coordinate like this, doesn’t it reduce the value proposition of crypto?
Re:How I Built the Most AI-Pilled Company in the World on Thursday October 29, 2026 @10:23PM (#50299124)
Who is funding this stuff? I can’t imagine a company like this is profitable in the short term. But won’t costs keep rising as the program gets bigger?
Re:We ran AI agent swarms in Minecraft and Mindustry on Thursday October 29, 2026 @08:05PM (#50298047)
I’d love to have a few NPC players wandering around my Minecraft server. Are there good ways to do this?
I like the creativity, not sure about the social media aspect.
Re:SS United States to be sunk as largest artificial reef on Tuesday October 27, 2026 @07:39PM (#50267435)
Beautiful ship, that’s going to be awesome to dive on.
CMMC is a rent seeking, regulatory capture scam intended to enrich the people who got in early.
Re:Looking for a tech job is a helpless data-entry nightmare on Tuesday October 27, 2026 @01:16AM (#50254959)
I don’t know either, but you have a great attitude and I wish you good luck.
Re:The new iPad mini on Tuesday October 27, 2026 @01:08AM (#50254910)
Can I please have an iPhone mini next?
Politicians, unions, construction companies, environmental groups, and other interests see this project as a resource to extract. Having it built is not aligned with that view.
Re:Air Purifiers as White Noise Machines on Friday October 23, 2026 @08:06PM (#50217028)
They are truly excellent machines. I’ve used a couple of these over the years, never had an issue.
The Dutch government has credibility, but this isn’t exactly a press release from them.
Fascinating story, but I’m not sure how to verify it’s true.
Did you talk to potential end users before you built this?
There’s not much special about California that other states can’t match. It wouldn’t be surprising to see more high-profile exits.
This kind of journalism is refreshing and awesome.
Very interesting. Is there a working prototype? Would this be suitable for a desktop machine or is it intended to live in a server?
Re:Petal, the first petabit transoceanic fiber cable on Sunday October 18, 2026 @11:59PM (#50148229)
How are the repeater stations powered?
Re:I run my one-person business with ~17 narrow AI agents on Saturday October 17, 2026 @10:12PM (#50137193)
This isn’t a business, it’s a pile of slop that likely costs more in subscription fees than it generates in revenue. Do I have to be independently wealthy to have a “business” like this too?
Re:California Student Data Leaked on Saturday October 17, 2026 @04:44PM (#50134967)
Breaches like this should be company-ending events.
Re:Will MOOCs Destroy Academia? (2012) on Friday October 16, 2026 @09:24PM (#50126913)
I’ve learned plenty of things over the years by taking MOOCs.

It has not increased my employability or compensation in the slightest.

Not really, as your victim would also need to be in an MRI-like machine for fifteen minutes to an hour.

I do hope this is serious research as well. It’s hard to tell from the outside.

What is the intended utility of it?
Re:The Legacy of India's Quest to Sterilize Millions of Men on Friday October 16, 2026 @06:39PM (#50125739)
Of course this is somehow Britain and America’s fault. How predictably boring.
Gotta get that training data somehow.
