As sad as a book or boardgame.
Ah, touch is awful! Nasty ass fingerprints on your display, no thanks.
It it means they're going to fuck up the UI even more for touch compatibility.
Yes, then that pipeline is lossy, not the lossless encoder that's part of it.
Independent preprocessing doesn't make PNG itself lossy.
I have the RSH-HS03 which also has a small LCD display. Perfect device for in the bathroom. It controls my dehumidifier.
It's just an emotional witch hunt at this point. I get it, societal implications of AI are scary, but protest _that_ instead of cosplaying like an environmentalist.
Because electric engines are more performant than gas ones so you can in theory have better driving perfomrance? I.e., high, flat and predictable torque curve, re-use braking energy (so it adds up to ICE), extremely high energy density of the engine unit.
> Lando Norris calling the electronic glitches "horrible" and further proof that F1 should move away from hybrids.
But the human fireballs, deaths and suffering of gasoline-related accidents are no proof that F1 should move away from gas-power?
My Dutch bank offers such a thing on SEPA direct debits. If a company sends a debit request, it must stay within X euros per month or otherwise it's not automatically accepted and I'll have to explicitly allow/reject it.
Rejection will block the payment and the company will likely go after you to settle the dispute.
It's all just an effort to control the 90%.
One can focus on generating 10 other accounts before it's flagged. Now you have 10 others to deal with.
I would sweat my ass off! I'm a guy who wears shorts and a t-shirt in autumn and spring. I can't imagine life in summer in a suit.
And then to think that the essential energy source of coal power is just robbed from future generations. If we would fairly _pay_ for coal, and fossil fuel in general, they would have been outpriced decades ago!
Generate a huge load of vulcanus iron plates with speed modules, then feed that into assembler/recycler chain of iron chests (all quality).
Or, if energy/space isn't of huge concern to you: a lot of foundries with quality, and just dump anything that's not legendary into the lava.
Some folks say: "if you don't like it, don't use it?" same holds for LDS where you can also argue that throwing a piece of legendary plastic in lava shouldn't produce legendary steel and copper.
Well, I guess we'll have a small mod that reenables it for those interested; and the standard game can be the guide on gameplay balance.
“Space casino” is gone from Factorio 2.1 as asteroid reprocessors don't take quality items anymore. Motivated by devs that it was 'just too easy' to get legendary items this way.
On the one hand, yes, on the other hand it would also not be too hard to do routing based on such a parameter and Antrophic has shown (through Fable and Mythos) that they have such a transparent routing system in place.
In fact, since they have some rule based system (if bioenegineering or security, route to degraded model) it would be almost trivial to add 'user has filed feedback' to it.
Not saying this is what happens, but just that it's not as insane as it sounds.
They refuse it because if they would say "1 million liters a year!" the knee-jerk reaction will be completely predictable even though that's just tiny compared to a small swimming pool or industrial or agricultural site.
The debate is completely based on emotion and anger right now, so sharing information will only give the emotional/angry folks more mud to throw with. The majority of people has no clue about how to put things like energy use and water use in perspective, and they're also not interested in doing that. Because they have decided to green-wash their AI-fears as environmental fears... which is a big fat joke because datacenters aren't significant polluters or consumers compared to almost all other industries.
Look, I get it, many people are afraid of the societal impacts of AI, or distrust it in another way. But let's be honest and focus on _that_ instead of naively acting as if our anti-datacenter sentiment comes from environmental concerns (the last few decades have shown we don't GAF about the environment).
Also, whenever something is mildly successful, some foreign investor fund will swing a nice back of money in front of the founders and *poof* European company gone.
The only thing the name does is tell that it's not a very good test?
Typically only if it would go in against the interest of the government. In this case, OpenAI and its peers are carrying the complete US stock market, and the govt has a huge interest in not making it collapse anytime near election dates.
Why is using a computer to solve a captcha stealing. The websites posed you a challenge, you solved it. Maybe the website _expected_ you to waste human time on it, but that's not what you did.
Unless Russia it would put Russia in a strong position to regulate bots in the wealthiest parts of the world.
This just screams pretext to regulatory capture to me.
The majority of working hours are not needed. The only purpose is to play along in the game of capitalism and be good little consumers. It's mostly social benefits with occupational therapy.
Are we anything else? Our complete behavior is shaped by our upbringing, media exposure, education. "Do we even have free will?"
I vibed a wikipodcast app that has a wikipedia dump, gemma llm for search and summarization and a tts model for audio gen so I could just ask about topics while on the go, and the app would just go off and tell me stuff out of the Wikipedia database.
It was especially nice during a bike trip along the Rhine, I listened to a lot of the history of the industrial area and its cities.
Opus is useless; Mythos access will be granted to companies that are friendly to the government, so the government gets more control over business.
