Re:Honesty gets Emacs patch rejected on Friday June 26, 2026 @01:19AM (#48682597)
Such ultra-liberal approach seems to project unfriendly collaboration culture..?

It seems to incentivize the contributor to try our proposing their patch multiple times repeatedly with varied introductory words just to test if the maintainer had a good day to accept the improved code.

Replay not working properly on mobile..?
Is there a way to replay the sequence of mails that came so that you can check out if cheaper models handle them just as well/safely?
Re:Haskell Foundation 2026 Update on Thursday May 21, 2026 @03:13AM (#48218993)
Yup, it was mostly pleasure AI coding a company codebase in Scala. I'm considering it for next projects for this reason although my understanding and intuition for Scala code is much weaker than for Python.

Seems like diversification for the sake to not only maximise profit, but also minimise risk( of their models not keeping competitive).
Re:Nyxt browser: mouseless copy/paste on Saturday January 30, 2021 @09:14AM (#25969225)
How about a social login and storing preferred version and some sane defaults without login?

"One you see it print" typo.
Quick question: Can you split any key, like the password to my LUKS or password manager? Is there any limitation for the content of the file to be split?
Re:Google is getting left behind due to horrible UI/UX on Monday December 14, 2020 @06:18PM (#25424739)
Home button? No simple copy from the URL field? Not in a share with menus unlike Firefox…

Obelix would be proud of them, perhaps. Otherwise let me spell "art" here…
Re:Metal monolith found by helicopter crew in Utah desert on Tuesday November 24, 2020 @12:08PM (#25200410)
First impression to me was that it is some sort of modern kinetic projectile[0] from aircraft weapons' testing. I've read US army used something of that shape in recent conflicts, but probably of smaller size.

Re:The Nobel Prize in Physics 2020 on Tuesday October 06, 2020 @06:49AM (#24696402)
That is a misunderstanding and a simplistic depiction of the inner structure inside the event horizon sphere. True is we have no observations of the internals but time ending is in contradiction to the cones of particles ejected from the "hole", observed by astronomers.
Re:Tracking Mixed Bitcoins on Thursday October 01, 2020 @08:11AM (#24649978)
You get the pseudonymity and open/easy access there on the other hand.
I'd agree with what you describe, which I'd call policy-baked corruption for short.

I strongly disagree on the notion that deciding the way each of us lives is on the shoulders of the profit-driven directors.

Re:What the interns have wrought, 2020 edition on Wednesday August 26, 2020 @11:48AM (#24283533)
You have high-stake operations in relatively small code base, so you better pick a language and tools compatible with formal verification or even supporting it natively.
Re:AWS Controllers for Kubernetes on Tuesday August 25, 2020 @04:45PM (#24275881)
That's what you should have QA pipeline ready to check before you'll be able to apply the config, right? Secrets should be encrypted in git to my best awareness.
On some yes, but many offer other payment methods.
Watching and verifying are two separate procedures, if the edited piece has a link to the original source, the verification can pass to that.
I have a simple manufacturing tweak patent for the recorder devices on my table to do so.

Would a .bat/.bash file with `firefox -P "profileWork"` be of help?
Re:8GB Raspberry Pi 4 on sale now at $75 on Sunday May 31, 2020 @03:35PM (#23372008)
Termux -> proot Arch -> pacman -S jre-openjdk

When you want Xserver, you just do so from Android vnc viewer to 127.0.0.1:5901 or so.

Wonder how Gitea[0] stands on this line? It seems the easiest to setup for small teams.

Re:8GB Raspberry Pi 4 on sale now at $75 on Thursday May 28, 2020 @04:55AM (#23335020)
Why not have Linux directly on your Android? There are great options and the VNC works reliably.
Re:Facebook Novi: Wallet for Libra Digital Currencies on Tuesday May 26, 2020 @04:14PM (#23315892)
The precaution for control seems the custodial operations, where currency cummulates under the operators' trust, ie. in FB&col. The little step for keeping what you obtain in the platform inside it for further use within it is what agregates significant risk.
Nope. Wine?- have not tried. Nautilus has some integration, which is mostly not usable.
Re:Zoom Acquires Keybase on Thursday May 07, 2020 @11:46AM (#23104323)
That feels like strict oposit of the falacy claim, which would hold in case of perfectly stable and suppied currency is employed. Still would be rational to invest research, diversify against theft etc.
I do not see them, Nokia is minor, Win discontinued..?
