Do you have an example of "center media"? Asking because I earnestly want some of that.
I've lived in 7 cities in China and wet markets were always within comfortable walking distance.

I've tried biking to supermarkets in America but the closest has always been like 30 minutes away, and I need to have a crate just to sanely carry a decent amount to feed my family.

May not be representative, but it was sure nice always having fresh food nearby.

It's insanely perverse that we let companies like Blackrock buy up lots of homes and turn them into rentals.
Posting undoctored pictures of Hunter Biden smoking crack got me insta suspended.

Posting undoctored pictures of Biden being creepy with kids got me insta suspended too, for "depictions of child sexual abuse" lmao.

I wonder how deeply they check. In China you can't post pictures of the Tiananmen Square massacre. Photos will get instantly deleted (with eventual bans), even if you flip them or insufficiently add artifacts. Blurring/darkening corners seemed to do the trick.

Not answering your question, but among my gamedev circle, "fun" is seen as a useless word because there are so many different possible meanings (challenging, soothing, exploratory, nice graphical effect feedback, nice music, social, etc) and often are contradictory with each other. We've seen countless times people setting merely "fun" as their goal, and then getting horribly depressed when the nebulous "fun" is never struck upon, with no clue how to make any ground in that direction.

It's a natural result of society consuming ** propaganda nonstop for entertainment. We learn all the wrong lessons even though they feel sweet and and have good face value.
