The author admits that "16 bits does not quite cover the entire theoretical dynamic range of the human ear in ideal conditions". But then the author concludes "let's not use 24 bits anyway because it doesn't really help anyway, and it wastes space"

Wastes space? In an age where we stream gigabyte movies? Do we need to remind the author that we're no longer in 1982 and that we have evolved beyond floppy disks?

What Bitcoin does better than anything else is to highlight the current state of computer security, which is plain terrible. For that alone Bitcoin deserves to exist.

What makes people believe that their brains are not good enough just as they are? If you take nootropics you're messing with the most precious mechanism of your body. Are there any studies at all about the effects of long-term use on perfecly healthy young people?

It's a good thing? Yeah, except that you waste half an hour EACH DAY staring at automatic software updates. At this point I simply disable automatic updates for much of the programs on my PC. This fashion of quick release cycles has gone way overboard.

+1 to this. The least work for uploader, the least work for the downloader to get them all.
