I was born in British Hong Kong. I had a British passport, one that is in a special category (BNO) that was issued to non-citizen. It does not allow residency in UK, or even guarantees the passport holder can enter UK at all. The issue of former colony subject coming to UK has been debated and settled. The answer is no.
Around P56 billion in tourism revenue will be lost if the island is closed for 9 months, based on the island's revenue during the first 9 months of 2017, data showed. This is equivalent to roughly 20 percent of the country's total tourism receipts."

Consider also the armed security comment, this really shows the way of a totalitarian government.
What exactly is the environmental rehabilitation being done? Why does it necessitate a shutdown? Would the return of tourists eventually undo all the "rehabilitation"?
China rail have pretty bad hygiene at that time. The passengers freely throw their trash on the floor and out of the window. The attendants swiped the floor every few hours. Every time they pushed a mountain of peanut husk away. There was a peasant family on board with a baby. The baby needed to relief. So the parents held him up to have him shit on the floor. The attendant saw it and really lost it. She scolded the hell out of the family.

Today some number of people use Skype to video chat with friends and family regularly. So yes, Skype is also a social network.
EDIT: I should explain myself more.
For my mom, her social network is a paper address book and her phone. That's the technology she use to get in touch with her friends.
Whatapps has the necessary technology and feature. What makes it a "social network" in this context is the adoption. If a large number of your peers are using it as a main way to get in touch, it is their "social network". You may not think of it as such because it looks different than Facebook. But this will become more apparent if you are aware how much penetration it has in some communities.
I don't think this is going to work. What makes you think there will be an eager buyer? Used furniture is not a very liquid market. Sellers typically ask for more than buyers is willing to pay. It takes time to find a match. Some items will not find a buyer after a long time or never. That's why we need a warehouse.

There are probably a separate category of problematic electronics that really sucks power. I was offended to find my set-top box suck 18W. I am doubly offended by your array of Tivo boxes. For 40W, my laptop will be doing computation intensive task with the fan running loudly. My mac mini consume only 11W when idle. A big huge TV would use power. I only have a 32" TV and I use it only a few hours a day at most anyway.
This is not to be critical of Leo. By publishing the app and making the the promotion website and video he is ahead of even many professional developers. I'm more annoyed by the tech hype and the media narrative. The idea is any kid can write a mobile app and solve some of the world biggest problem just like that. Together they create some myth that disappoints if you really look into the detail.
People need to speak up and stop this insanity about ousting Eich. This include the LGBT community and their supporters. Yesterday their were fighting for inclusiveness and accepting people with different values. They need to walk the talk themselves, even if it means to tolerate people whose value they disagree with.
Agree about the importance of getting term life. One thing to add, the Internet (or the society) is a life insurance! Help some one in need. One day the karma will come back to you.

The startup I have worked for 3 year was not quite taking off. So a few months ago I decided to quit to look for something new. This is the first time I have quit a job out right without having a new job waiting. It turned out to be the best thing I have done. Once I broadcast the message that I am in the job market, my email box quickly fill up with requests (I'm in the San Francisco job market). I've spent the next week pretty much interviewing full time. Very soon I've received multiple job offers. The company I like the most did not make the highest offer. But I successfully negotiate up to a satisfactory level.
In terms of work and technical skill, I feel I am in the top of the game. I'm not sure where people get the idea that young person is better than more experienced. New knowledge often build on top of old knowledge. Fundamental skill like logic, math, data structure are just equally relevant. Plus experience is useful when you need to make judgment on where and how things are likely to change, and where things is more risky that deserve more attention for design and testing. That say the landscape of technical knowledge is huge and quickly expanding. There a new thing to learn everyday. I am aware that many people around me, both young and old, are really talented. There are always things I can learn from them.
In terms of pay, it is rising in absolute term. But I'm not in management and I'm moving mostly laterally. I don't believe I am making more than someone who are in their 30s. In this sense both my career and my pay is plateaued. But still I satisfied with the work and pay level. I think this is an excellent career choice for myself.
