No, it's a general attack on anyone that cites horseshit.

I "attacked" pop econ bullshit, not a person.

If any profit goes to the employees, I'm on board.

Unless you were disabled and using assistive technology.

Add 2018 to the title please.

> Yes, but why Jefferson

Because they thought Jeffersons thoughts on the matter were relevant.

> Why not Arglebargle?

Because I know what that word means.

> Or me?

Because "lisper central banks" doesn't produce any meaningful results in a search engine.

> I have musings on the topic of central banks, would you like to hear them?

Sure.

Re:Facebook will make the money now on Tuesday June 18, 2019 @01:54PM (#20216101)
No- they just told you to read Jeffersons musings on the topic of central banks.

For credit cards at least, you aren't giving any more information to them than you would any random website where you make a purchase.

Less, even, as there's no expiration date or CVV.

I hold PoA for my father- what's the best way, using this form, to say they're his accounts, but I'm the one filing the letter on his behalf?

I'm not even old, but a mat on the floor has given me the soundest sleep.

YMMV if you're not an on-the-back sleeper.

Re:Self-Taught Mathematician; an Impossibility? on Saturday May 04, 2019 @10:21PM (#19830717)
Math isn't context free. Neither are most/all human languages. Yet we communicate succesfeully (within some margin of error).

That doesn't really tell me much.

Re:“Let's bring a goddamn bookstore to the Bronx.” on Saturday April 27, 2019 @10:29AM (#19765710)
My mistake- I finished that article with the impression that there was a more general "book desert" than just an absence of small book stores.
Accumulated error creates an gap, rift between the true answer and the computed answer.

Why isn't there a library?
> Serious question: does this spell doom for people with ADHD?

Caveat: undergrad in math, working on a part time coursework masters (I'm hoping to talk someone into being my advisor for a part time thesis)

No more so than any other academic subject.

If anything, I've found math more friendly to my ADHD than philosophy, literature, etc.

This is more or less why I fell into mathematics.

I eventually learned I have ADHD, which definitely explained why I couldn't keep up with the reading and writing workload in the philosophy and literature courses.

Between ebooks and my local public library, I purged my entire personal (physical) library.

Your dad should've been presented with help because he needed it, not because there was some un-mined surplus value.

I'd be ecstatic if I never again see a comment about how folks suddenly and completely understand a class they failed years ago after watching a 3blue1brown video.

They probably don't- its similar to how everyone that plays poker is somehow an expert at game theory.
> Does anyone else notice the length of a moment changing?

Sure- a couple beers makes a couple hours feel like a couple minutes.

I mean, it's a racist personal preference. Caring about whether the expression of it is racist seems besides the point?

A robot will uncritically do what you tell it.

An experienced welder will tell you you're an idiot when you're an idiot.

Use the "web" link under the title.

Good- I'd rather you focus on the world around you.
