Hmm? It sounds to me like there is a lot of generosity- Take Two poaching a lot of engineers, offering them nice bonuses. The employees are the ones winning in this story
Companies across all countries have proprietary data that they are using to develop treatment options.
It should be "Twitter tweets a tweet"
> Twitter tweet’s tweet
What?
Spotify actually has video already, which they used for music videos. Although it seems like they removed it fairly recently.
> Why trust a model if you can do a serology study instead?
Because studies require a lot more time and money, while a model is just on a computer and can be constantly and quickly updated as things change?
Herd immunity will kick in around 70%, so the actual people that would get it is not 100% of the age group.
> I'm not sure I call something like 10,000 dead a highlight.
Given that people before were saying the death rate was 2-5%, yes, it is a good thing.
I find it really strange that people in this thread are trying to be mad about a low death rate...
True, but GM and other auto makers aren't selling cars right now. They are impacted severely
Which is solely due to the extra cost of short term capital gains tax.
Or perhaps the Chinese phrase just got caught in the spam filter as a false positive while the English phrase didn't?
YT's spam filter is notoriously terrible so I don't think this is far out there.
> Some people never do research again after completing a Ph.D. For such people, the Ph.D. was largely a waste of time.
This statement reflects the writers' large ego, not reality. It's a shame how this point of view is prominent in the scientific community. I've seen similar rude statements from academic scientists who say that working in R&D at a corporation isn't "real science".
Click on the comment's "X minutes ago" and then click "favorite"
But is YouTube actually doing it on request of a government?
> What's special about the software economy is that people who write the software take home a large fraction of it
I don't think this is true. Take all the non-tech companies that rely on software and hire tons of engineers, such as insurance and banking.
Which is difficult to gauge, since Sweden's economy depends on exporting to other countries that are in a full lockdown. So it's possible that if all countries took Sweden's approach, things would be a lot better.
Please don't dismiss results just because they aren't 100% descriptive of the normal population.
> one-sided and of low-value
Ironic, because that's exactly what your comment is.
And yet Sweden has less cases per capita than the UK.
> Mexico military sending a satellite
Literally could be anything. Militaries around the world run navigation (i.e. GPS) and weather satellites.
> isn't that kind of normal?
Yeah, and isn't taking steps to oppose them every step of the way normal as well? We (america & allies) have to protect our interests.
Your comment reeks of a sour ego. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it is below you.

Huh? Why do you have to take precautions to view a live stream?
California already has mail-in ballots, FYI. All this order does is send them to all registered voters instead of just those who requested a mail-in ballot.
It's not terrible. Plenty of people will happily take this, because they think they can get a new job quickly and pocket the buyout.
> NB this is for the first quarter of 2020, which had hardly any impact from Covid-19
Except the economy was impacted, since manufacturing in China was slowed during the first quarter.
Google literally helped write GDPR. So no, it wasn't meant to spite them.
Exactly. Reminder that big companies like Google and MSFT helped write GDPR... They wouldn't haven written in terms that could actual affect them
What kind of weird comment is this? Universities are supposed to not consider race in admissions. Racial groups should have no reason to start "their own" university.
