i3 does this well. Switching to a virt. desktop on another screen switches to that screen by default but you can also move virtual desktops from screen to screen, e.g. "move this desktop with all windows to the screen to the right".
It should also be possible to configure a shortcut for "move desktop x to current screen". Personally, I find explicitly moving desktops more intuitive.

We told you so. We told you that you need to secure devices properly before connecting them to the internet. That you need to update them. We told you, that refrigerators have no business being online. No, it is not "just a refrigerator, who would ever want to attack it".
Who on earth thought this was a good idea.

All of his wishes for window management are easily solved with i3 or a similar tiling wm. Even on macOS you can get a shitty version of it with yabai and skhd (both are awesome, it is entirely macos' fault that it still sucks).

Building self driving vehicles with current tech will not work reliably and is a bad idea.
We will learn this the hard way.

Read the BDD style acceptance tests that were written during development.
This is the one chance you get to preserve that knowledge when it fresh and correct. Asking someone three years later (even the original dev) is no substitute.
Oh, and you can also run the tests to ensure correctnes.

You're misunderstanding the idea I think.
You would use the format on disk for the grep. "Your format" only exists displayed in your editor.

This is overcomplicating something simple for dubious benefit. Just write a concise subject line for the change and short description or a list of bullet points what you changed/added/removed and why.
Not everything has to have rules for some regular format.
