I have been dealing with something very similar - I am not certain if the frequencies are in the range of what you are experiencing but I have found a device called a "Bat Detector" which is a simple circuit board that uses a directional mic array to help locate bats in dark environments. It plugs into a pair of headphones and has a frequency control knob so you can try to dial in the sound you are looking for. I don't live in an area as dense as yours but I would try mounting the detector to a tripod with some kind of sighting scope to be able to aim it with some precision.
Re:I ditched my Pi-hole but still block ads with NextDNS on Wednesday February 19, 2025 @04:34PM (#43108019)
I have been running pi-hole on a raspberry for years with no downtime, op is either pitching for the DNS provider or they have not deployed their pi-hole correctly.
Re:Delta Dental says data breach exposed info of 7M people on Friday December 15, 2023 @12:50PM (#38656594)
MOVEit has been a vector for several high profile bank and government breaches in the last few months. I really have to wonder why anyone is still using their services after yet another security incident.
Re:Making Bulletproof Wood [video] on Thursday November 02, 2023 @12:21PM (#38115850)
Another observation about the band saw cut...

I don't think that was an indication of weak penetration into the wood. The solution did not darken until later in the process and that means it was penetrating back into the material after it had changed color.

I encountered one of these about a year ago at a random stop for drinks. All the complaints about them are right on the mark.

If I see cooler screens. You will never see me in that store again.

Re:Atlassian prepares to abandon on-prem server products on Monday October 16, 2023 @10:34AM (#37900394)
Atlassian had a cloud outage a few years ago that took some clients down for days.

Not even considering moving to that dumpster fire.

They have EOL'ed most of their self hosting products. I don't think you can buy a new self host license anymore.
Re:The Dreamcast Legacy on Wednesday December 22, 2021 @11:36AM (#29651575)
The timelines and competing consoles presented in the article are all out of order. I get the overall point they were trying to make, but that was a painful read.
