Re:How the Claude Code team does code review on Saturday October 17, 2026 @04:09AM (#50128991)
Yes, it has become quite common that Claude’s text feedback, e.g. Claude found an issue in the existing code and tries to explain it, it is a paragraph of bullshit words stringed together.

Then you investigate it and it is often something relatively simple that could have been explained with short sentence.

The conspiracy theorist inside me thinks it is lawyerism.

Yes, unfortunately a lot of requirements and specifications are now AI slop, thus developers stop reading them, and agent produce even more slop.

We need to take back writing requirements and specifications to humans.

Adopting high level BDD style testing of human written user stories (cucumber) is probably a good idea.

You have to classify each code review based on what it changes and decide how to handle it, agent review and/or human review. You can have an agent do that.

It is Year of the Linux Desktop, not Year of the Linux Cli.
Did you try out-of-bound swap (oob) in HTMX? With that you can update any element on page, e.g. three different form elements changed due to <select> change, request returns only these three form elements with oob selectors and keep the rest of the form intact.

Not that strange, Malcolm Kyeyune is a member of the Örebro Party, and he’s had a podcast together with the party leader, Markus Allard, since 2015.

https://poddtoppen.se/podcast/985799618/markus-och-malcom

Kyeyune was one of the members - along with Allard - who were kicked out of the Left Party’s youth organization in 2014 for supporting the Revolutionary Front.

One thing to remember in Swedish politics is that the old idea of the Folkhemmet ("the Home of the People") is always lurking in the background: a political mix of conservatism and socialism - Sweden as a home for Swedes, but also an egalitarian home. Some view, both on the left and the right, Folkhemmet as peak Sweden.

Invalid certificate - dark humor.

As a Great Power, Sweden had a great need for engineers to build forts, canals and other important infrastructure for the Kingdom.

These engineers came in handy when the Industrial Revolution started.

Thus Sweden has a long history of manufacturing industry.

To get robocopy fast you have to disable all console output, something like five extra flags.

I can highly recommend PureBasic. Still actively developed and with an active community.
Re:Exploring Coroutines in PHP on Tuesday July 08, 2025 @10:46AM (#44500492)
But why pick PHP then? Why not use nodejs or similar where the language, application stack and the community is already in agreement on the execution model.

Correct, the real bottleneck is almost always the database.

PHP is better than any of its alternatives within its problem space.

Funny how you acted like a typical American, implying that Europeans can’t hold different opinions between them. I’m so glad you are leaving. Good riddance.
You have to be either naive or a shill if you believe the US didn't leverage any political control over (West) Germany with that kind of large occupational force.
How can you be an equal partner if you are occupied?
That is the unification treaty. If you accept that as a peace treaty then you need to at least accept that Germany, and as a consequence Europe, was vassal state until 1991. Thus the idea that Europe were equal partners with US is false.
I think what your comment proves is that many Americans are stuck in the Democrat vs Republican mindset and thinking that kind of explanation actually works in a global context.

Pax Americana is over, US is no longer capable of dictating globalization to the rest of the world, why? Because many countries has caught up.

Germany is still occupied by US without a formal peace treaty, hence de facto.
Correct, and that is why I argue that Europe is an vassal state, i.e. taking actions against its best interest because the overlord tells them to.
Or the Russo-Georgian war of 2008. European leaders have had plenty of time to react.

Just take the President of the EU commission, Ursula von der Leyen. She was Germany's minister of defence from 2013 to 2019.

Agree, France is somewhat of an exception.

I remember during the Chirac presidency how viciously France was attacked by the other European countries, especially my own Sweden, for doing nuclear weapons testing in the South Pacific.

Jump forward today and France is seen as a protector of Europe, especially in Sweden, because of its nuclear arsenal.

Globalization died with Covid when it became obvious that the old order no longer functioned in a world with lockdowns and pandemics, it disrupted the entire supply chain.

Then globalization died a second time with the Russia’s war in Ukraine, with the emergence of BRICS and the consequences of sanctions and the breakdown of the global monetary system.

No, Europe is a de facto vassal state to US since WW2.

What Europe didn’t understand or didn’t want to understand was the US agenda differs from Europe agenda , always has. But now they start to wake up facing this reality.
