Re:Google Fonts Redesigned on Tuesday June 14, 2016 @02:12PM (#11904027)
sounded correct to me. You just misunderstood, undrstandable. "Google Font" is the name of the product. If the title was "Google's fonts redesigned", then I'd agree.
nothing to do with death, but how hospitals don't know what they are doing sometimes.

when I was really young I jammed my finger. went to the hospital to get it checked. they were putting a wrist splint on me. I asked how that helped my finger. he quickly took it off.

If I was older I would have just tapped it up.

Re:SoundCloud launches Go: a subscription service on Tuesday March 29, 2016 @12:50PM (#11382811)
Thanks for the tip. I used rdio, currently spotify, and pandora. My method in finding songs was going to Pandora and adding songs I loved from their to spotify. Pandora seems to be great at finding similar sounding songs to what I request.

The whole finding people to follow is what is the problem for me. It takes time finding accounts to follow. Friends dont have similar taste in music. Apple has the right idea in picking songs/artist you like before you get to start the service so you get something you like in your feed.

someone make an app to connect users to awesome playlists based on songs/genre/and more

the big white bars in desktop? I'm okay with it. when reading, it is easier when the content is compacted. if the text was full length of a browser, supposedly it is harder to read or people lose interest. Now, youtube is video, so I'm not sure whats up with their white bars but I digress.
Re:Is Self Hosted Blogging Dead? on Friday January 22, 2016 @12:52AM (#10951017)
nah. people (content marketers) post on medium in hope they click on their personal link in the author bio, which has their blog and content they wouldn't put on medium.
Re:Children Are Abandoning Baseball on Friday December 25, 2015 @09:38PM (#10793073)
I created a "baseball" game that only involves a ball and 2 gloves. The point is to make the other miss the catch. Fun times creating backyard games.

My DSL and landline would become weak every time it rained. Once I switched to FiOS that disappeared.

he meant DO beats them in design, documentation, UX. of course, AWS/GCE are more powerful.
Re:In-N-Out Files Lawsuit Against Food Delivery Startup DoorDash on Thursday November 12, 2015 @01:55AM (#10551695)
But it doesn't reach the customers hands until it is delivered. How long does it take to be delivered? never used Door Dash. Does Door Dash care about quality? probably not as long as it is delivered. We know startups will try to grow quick, which in turn can make their services suffer. customers might blame In-N-Out instead of Door Dash (there are crazy people around).

The choices for a fast food burger joint that is everywhere: Mcdonalds, Burger King, Jack in the Box, Carls Jr, or In-N-Out. I choose In-N-Out.
eh, if you visit redtube enough, it becomes a brand name. For those that don't use redtube it sounds like they copied the "tube" from youtube.

The copyright will end in December 31, 2016 for the EU
Re:WooThemes joins Automattic on Tuesday May 19, 2015 @10:31PM (#9574361)
I'm wondering if the prices will change, if any plugins will be discontinued, how high will yearly markups be, how often will they update the plugins.
Re:WooThemes joins Automattic on Tuesday May 19, 2015 @10:27PM (#9574351)
WordPress has out of the box experience that clients can wrap their heads around. Drupal requires you to mix modules to basically create your own "plugins" which means more time and a higher price for a client. Wordpress just hits the spot.
Why do so many sites use Raleway font. I get that it is free on google font, but it is very hard to read. You want to be elegant? get a real font or UX designer.
Re:This Is How Fast America Changes Its Mind on Monday April 27, 2015 @12:10PM (#9447179)
agree. The south is very religious & a high percentage would say they are Christian over non religious. I bet they verbally support it when asked.. to not be shamed when speaking against it. When it comes to voting, they are against it.
Re:Tesla is a Battery Company on Thursday April 02, 2015 @11:48AM (#9311424)
True. I've already seen an article like this. This also gave a reason why they wanted their supercharging stations everywhere, at cheap price, and open patents. I'm not sure, but I doubt he opened his patents on the battery.
Re:Why Spotify Pays So Little on Wednesday March 18, 2015 @06:44PM (#9229150)
I always thought bands make their money on tour. live shows & merch; and the label makes more money from CD & song sells. I guess there is a new type of indie. Those that don't go on tour much and want money?
Re:Robert Scoble to take 2 months off on Saturday January 31, 2015 @01:15PM (#8977452)
So what does he do? Is his skill just speaking? Must be nice. I guess he has a degree in communication or writing.
Re:Google Domains Launches to All in U.S on Tuesday January 13, 2015 @04:40PM (#8882798)
A domain host that is pushing .bs & with a cliche web 2.0 logo & .net. That alone worries me. How long have you been with them.
Re:Google Domains Launches to All in U.S on Tuesday January 13, 2015 @04:10PM (#8882613)
$10 + $3 private registration. Spam snail mail sucks.

godaddy sounds worse. They even sexualize their commercials.
Re:Designers are ditching the mouse for the Flow controller on Monday December 29, 2014 @06:46PM (#8812494)
Use keyboard & mouse shortcuts. Want to change songs on spotify? spend some money on a gaming mouse and set an extra mouse button to skip songs. I use a Vengeance M65 and use my thumb to go to next/previous song. I then have extra middle buttons to pause/un-pause.

leaving your hand on the mouse and using the extra buttons is faster than having to lift your hand from its resting position. The way the demo shows they keep taking their hands off. Is it super sensitive that you can't rest your hand on it?

You are not going to replace a wacom tablet for designers.

Re:Keurig 2.0 DRM Bypass on Tuesday December 09, 2014 @08:52PM (#8727232)
I'm wondering if the average k-cup consumer would even try this or just buy cups that work. I know a lot of people that have antivirus protection, but never press the button to actually scan. It is simple, but they don't do it.
tldr the person got old, and realized they were old.

In HS I had English, Physics (very fun and active), Drafting (elective), Algebra (1or2), spanish 1. Caring a full backpack was worse for me. I remember it tearing apart on top from the weight
