Oh no, I have full creative control. I have to literally specify which fonts to use, where to place a shape etc. But I can ask it to pick a good color palette, put some kind of procedural texture etc. All of this would have taken me a day in photoshop, but with Claude I can give the instructions and let it use Python
I have been asking opus 5.5 to write python to create logos. It is more consistent and easier to control than gen AI for this purpose

I think I saw a lot of blockchain in HN, but I don’t remember seeing NFT that much

Doesn’t the phone need to know the orientation to measure the position (along with acceleration and possibly magnetic field strength and dir)?
Re:Why aren't AI companies being charged for hacking? on Monday October 12, 2026 @11:00AM (#50057392)
If I tell an agent to trade stocks and maximize profits but the agent decides to hack something to achieve that am I on the hook for hacking? Genuine question

This site gave me the name “Greedy Bison”, but it didn’t say how many other “Greedy Bison” are out there. I’m guessing everyone using the very common device I’m using and using the very common browser that I’m using would get the same name as me
Re:AI is now capable of developing its own inference hardware on Wednesday October 07, 2026 @05:25AM (#49990287)
Startups usually think that they don’t need A1
Re:The smartest Claude Code feature is not for its users on Wednesday October 07, 2026 @05:19AM (#49990239)
I’m not sure if this logic makes sense. They could easily just do the training in the backend with my prompt without showing me the autocomplete. The only difference is that I am slightly primed to the autocomplete, but the OP didn’t mention how that helps with feedback
US is an outlier, globally we are making great progress in using renewables and cutting down carbon emissions (still a long way to go)

Humans are making progress figuring out how to make space use sustainable as well! There are multiple companies out there working in de-orbiting satellites that have reached end of life. A single launch can possibly de-orbit 3-6 satellites. The capacity of a single one of these companies is enough to stabilize the number of space junk today

Re:DeepSeek Elastic Compute (DSec) on Saturday September 26, 2026 @07:09PM (#49861471)
This is common practice in Biology labs in the west I think
Top of Google’s page is just a worse version of AI, followed by three or four sponsored result, then SEO optimized crap and finally what I’m looking for is probably near bottom of the results page- I’m not surprised at young people ditching Google
“Someone was wrong, now I need to pretend they weren’t so that their feelings don’t get hurt so that we can all pretend it didn’t happen”
Re:It's time for Mark Zuckerberg to resign from Meta on Monday September 07, 2026 @04:53AM (#49595789)
It’s an opinion piece
I can still access old.reddit.com from my country/region
Re:The Dunning-Kruger Effect Is Probably Not Real on Monday August 03, 2026 @06:25PM (#49162258)
Just because two graphs looks similar doesn’t mean they are “same”. Shouldn’t we subtract the random bias from the real world data and see if there is any slope remaining (or something similar)?
Wouldn’t it make more sense to build a GPS clock?
I’m not 100% sure I follow what you mean, but here is a link from NASA saying our magnetosphere protects the atmosphere from erosion https://science.nasa.gov/science-research/earth-science/eart...
Re:Claude Code Is Steganographically Marking Requests on Tuesday June 30, 2026 @12:21PM (#48734974)
What models are you using? Aren’t you still dealing with some provider even if you are not using their binary
There’s argument to be made that SWE hasn’t been cracked either. The latest models are great at coding medium sized applications, but figuring out the requirements and consolidation of domain knowledge is something still lacking
Re:The Deadly Rise of Giant Trucks and S.U.V.s on Tuesday June 23, 2026 @01:50PM (#48648615)
While their conclusion is probably correct, I would have liked to seen the number of fatalities normalized by population, miles driven, number of pedestrian increase, speed limit change etc
Re:Pac-Man, but you're the ghost on Sunday June 14, 2026 @05:29AM (#48525603)
I don’t think you can take a turn until you hit a wall?
Another outsider, but Krita seem to be doing really well keeping their UX up to date. To the point where I often use it for a lot of stuff meant to be done by GIMP
Blind spot in the process is one thing, support staff not understanding the urgency of something like this and escaping to higher level is another
Re:GitHub's Fake Star Economy on Monday April 20, 2026 @09:27AM (#47834028)
Who knows? The way things are going VCs could start asking claude to review someone’s online presence and Claude might decide karma is the best metric for that
Re:GitHub's Fake Star Economy on Monday April 20, 2026 @08:33AM (#47833355)
Steam wishlist, itch.io number of views, YouTube views and now GitHub stars… I’m tired of all the gamification of creativity. Now if you’d upvote my comment I can get same karma please and thank you
Re:NSA is using Anthropic's Mythos despite blacklist on Monday April 20, 2026 @08:19AM (#47833217)
I thought you were quoting a propaganda ad from starship troopers for a second there
Re:Is anybody else bored of talking about AI? on Tuesday March 24, 2026 @04:55PM (#47509123)
Im not sure I follow. AI barely consumes energy compared to other industries and instead of focusing on the heavy hitters first wasting time on the climate impact on AI doesn’t seem useful
I’m surprised to see not enough people using xargs, or maybe I overuse it
Re:The US is flirting with its first-ever population decline on Tuesday February 10, 2026 @10:41AM (#46961274)
The main issue with population decline is the inability to depend on the growing younger population to fund the retirement of elderly people
The less context switching LLMs of current day need to do the better they seem to perform. If I’m writing C code using an agent but my spec needs complex SQL to be retried then it’s better to give access to the spec database through MCP to prevent the LLM from going haywire
