Good for them. Hope that shames the rest of the world (looking at you EU) to action too.
I could swear I saw that title here earlier today almost verbatim maybe even referencing the same link.
He lasted longer than most. B5 cast tend to sadly check out early. Good run mr Koenig.
California's got this experiment going I believe.
Ubuntu probably started working on a rust based replacement instead: rphp.
Well they did say "emulate" and emulators are always slightly off the mark
They have already taken part in every conceivable pleasure known to man that money can buy (legal and illegal). So much so that they have been desensitized to any stimuli barring extremes. And that's assuming these billionaires started out as ordinary folks in the first place (which is doubtful). All they got left is a God-complex to sustain them emotionally.
Or we could assume since new data is increasingly AI generated then the next generation of models are inherently born out of incestuous relationships so I would imagine Claude's grandson is going to be a dwarf.
Of course it is possible also that Claude will marry a chinese model (since it's asian odds are it is also smarter) bringing some diversity into the "gene" pool. Or better yet, a Russian supermodel.
They already have the heart attack gun and half a dozen other gadgets. An ice bullet would be just (pardon the pun) an icing on the cake.
Considering prime minister Orpo has already been quite vocal about supporting these data centers (when concerns were raised about electricity prices rising which he assured they won't be) citing economic growth and job increase, I doubt Google receives any kind of hard hitting sanctions for this.
Obligatory reminder that Finland is the happiest country and is in fact considered by all metrics among the least corrupt nation in the world. /s
What does a Linux ISO sound like?
Can we bring zeppelins back next for air?
I wonder if the following scenario ever occurred inside LG when they were designing this spyware.
1. Teenagers exist
2. Teenagers hook up with other teenagers
3. Sometimes that might happen on the couch in front of the TV
If that TV records and transmits anything, who is on the hook for production and distribution of illicit materials? The parents? The kids? Or LG?
PR/legal wise this might be the worst case scenario and might even get some of those legislators and law enforcement people interested.
1. We do NOT record or log anything
2. We might log something but it is local only and these specific features
3. Okay maybe we'll log a little but the TOS gives us permission
4. Yes we log and record everything and this is why it's a good thing; you ought to pay us actually
I'm sure the comments will be full of detractors scoffing at this claiming that all one needs is not to wash their hands. Or just go outside to handle that mud. With luck you might come across the king of Briton.
Sony decided to go with "You will own nothing and be happy"
They must have abandoned such plans (if they had any) when they got some backlash after they added telemetry features and half a dozen forks popped up overnight.
How about Asahi? Or is your hardware too new for it to apply.
Call it cynicism or paranoia but whenever something gets passed unanimously especially when it's tech related (lawmakers are notoriously aloof when it comes to tech in general let alone knowing anything about Linux or licenses) there's bound to be a shoe about to drop. Either somewhere else this exemption is rendered moot (which is why it passed so easily) or something else is going on.
I recall reading that Curry went to the same gym as the actor of Penelope in Criminal Minds and asked her (repeatedly as I recall) if he could get a role. Eventually he got one and delivered as Flynn perhaps the most terrifying unsub in the history of the show to date.
As someone who's exposure to him had been in the vein of Home Alone 2, C & C, Muppets and Ferngully where his portrayal had always had considerable amount of whimsy sillyness to it, seeing him take a seriously terrifying role like that was a wonderful experience.
Finale of season 5 and start of season 6 for those wishing to see for themselves (highly recommend).
> an ironic thing about Flock and it's audit trail is that it serves as a honeypot to root out bad police.
That's like saying the SS served as a honeypot for genocidal maniacs.
> start putting up banners that say "our website does not work with your browser, please switch to Chrome"
That's how IE 6 was killed.
Hunter Biden is still around so, no.
> "Valid HTML" used to be a big deal
To a point that there was an actual badge for it.
Worms is such a masterpiece it is used to predict elections.
IANAL but there have been some attempts to argue that forcing operating systems to add any age attestation etc. is compelled speech. Guess the question is which Distro will foot the bill to test this in actual court.
> The ability to register for Signal without a phone number is a frequently requested feature.
I wonder if Signal missed the forest for the trees with a paid registration. I imagine privacy is the primary reason for registering without phone number and yet they ask one to register by giving them money which 99% of the case involves means of payment tied even tighter to one's identity than a phone number.
For the tiniest of moment websites were made using Flash. Granted the technology was mostly games and video but on occasion a site popped up where everything was an interactive flash instead of plain old html. And before that there was java applets. This feels like a similar attempt.
End of an era. Who do we vote as the worst company ever now?
