No, you absolutely are not killing people. This is absurd alarmist propaganda designed to guilt people into acting a certain way.
> If they aren’t needed, and you do wear one anyways, no harm has been done.
This is a particularly insidious argument. First, you’re required to agree to your first point about killing people. Second, you’re required to agree that compelled mask wearing has no harm.
Neither of these statements are true.
The best place to figure out the fee should be the annual inspection. Plug into the computer, check the mileage, and calculate how many miles were driven since the last inspection. Put it into a calculator, and send out the fee.
Most of the road wear is from trucks, anyway. And I mean big rigs, not an F-150.
Maybe you don’t think he deserves his punishment. I certainly do. The type of person who would go on a stabbing spree for wine money is not the kind of person who has any place in society I want to live.
Arrest type information just needs to be more publicly available so these secondary sites don’t need to exist.
I think what you really want is just transparency.
Yeah some of these comments are from people who obviously don’t drive much. If you are driving the speed limit on a big highway you are legitimately at risk of causing an accident.
The injustice is that this person was charged in the first place. The court system is public, and must remain that way. We could remove the mugshot, but that won’t help people like the one you’ve described.
The goal was to flatten the curve. Remember that? Flatten. The. Curve.
Is the curve not flat? How much flatter do you want it to be before returning to normal life? Do you want literally 0.000% risk?
Oh, the humanity.
That would depend on how you classify 1%.
The effective tax rate for an individual earning $400k would be around 31%.
Like I said, even approaching 40% is obscene. 50-55% is absolute thievery. I would relocate from Texas if my effective tax was even close to 40%.
Who is this for? The “rich” or for everyone else?
An effective rate of 50-55% is obscene. I would relocate for anything approaching 40%.
If we get rid of business and corporate taxes we can also get rid of special rates for capital gains, and treat all income the same.
Then if you really want to get crazy, get rid of all the deductions and credits. But you’ll have to fight off all the special interests on both sides of the aisle.
