Yup
People like that guy like to jerk off to their thoughts and think they alone know the issue, and that it’s because people are lazy!!

Reality check, income inequality makes it so that parents have to slave away to earn the bar minimum to survive, participate in the gig economy, and then deal with tax cuts that give the richest of the rich even more money, while suffocating social services in their neighborhoods.

This is end stage capitalism, squeeze the rubes for every cent they have and damn their kids

If your not adhering to the policies of the Zionist elite, especially those in the tech space, your persona non grata
“It’s a complex topic!”

“This isn’t related to technology!”

“Keep politics out of HN!”

100%. You can identify what fads are going to hit critical mass based on the amount of YC companies pushing that same particular thing.
Re:996 on Saturday September 06, 2025 @12:30PM (#45150675)
Investors are dipshits more often than not. Just because someone has money to throw doesn’t mean they know much about many things.
It’s been obvious to people who didn’t view certain jobs as “unskilled labor”.
idk dude if your technology encourages a teenager to kill itself and prevents him from alerting his parents via a cry for help, I don’t care how “beneficial” it is.
Ok bud I’ll sanitize all my hackernews comments to ensure that it fits into the mindset of an automaton.
If you mention anything that goes against the current fad, you must be reprogramed.

AI is life

AI is love

AI is laugh

Re:Claude for Chrome on Tuesday August 26, 2025 @03:25PM (#45031064)
Can’t wait to see how badly this ruins some people’s lives
What? lol what part of what I said is wrong dude. It’s the reality
Spending millions upon millions to be able to quite literally rape our country of its natural resources, to then spend billions upon billions to create all sorts of fascinating new products that nobody asked for and that don’t generate any profit.

Silicon Valley is amazing!

Now this is some peak ai vibe coded slop
Re:AI tooling must be disclosed for contributions on Thursday August 21, 2025 @05:45PM (#44978461)
Democratize X via boiling our oceans!!
Re:Vibe Coding Is the Worst Idea of 2025 [video] on Wednesday August 20, 2025 @03:04AM (#44959405)
This is utter and complete nonsense. It’s such cope, I really have no other words to use.
Honestly, this is some of the most bizarre shit I’ve ever seen.

The day AI and AI adjacent slop is no longer polluting the front page is the day when some other random fad takes hold I guess.

Yeah that was my first thought as well.
Re:The current state of LLM-driven development on Sunday August 10, 2025 @12:14PM (#44856160)
Judging from all the comments here, it’s going to be amazing seeing the fallout of all the LLM generated code in a year or so. The amount of people who seemingly relish the ability to stop thinking and let the model generate giant chunks of their code base, is uh, something else lol.
Re:The current state of LLM-driven development on Sunday August 10, 2025 @12:08PM (#44856124)
Months? That’s actually an insanely long time
Re:GPT-5 for Developers on Thursday August 07, 2025 @03:41PM (#44829380)
if you’re not using an LLM to vibe code garbage then are you really a software developer?
Re:IRS head says free Direct File tax service is 'gone' on Friday August 01, 2025 @10:49AM (#44757623)
Awesome! I love having great public services be fucking gutted for no goddamn reason.
Re:The anti-abundance critique on housing is wrong on Thursday July 31, 2025 @10:55PM (#44752579)
“Abundance” is neoliberal BS. Typical centrism, half measures that don’t actually make anything better and manage to make everyone angry.
Re:iPhone Cameras Are Good on Wednesday July 30, 2025 @11:47PM (#44742135)
Nah I do it on my phone, angle is slightly different but everything just looks much better when taken with a proper camera
Re:iPhone Cameras Are Good on Tuesday July 29, 2025 @09:46PM (#44730236)
The amount of people who get really defensive when people actually point out that, no, your iPhone is not in anyway comparable to an actual dedicated camera is kinda crazy.
Re:iPhone Cameras Are Good on Tuesday July 29, 2025 @09:41PM (#44730212)
What’s with this overtly hostile attitude.
Re:iPhone Cameras Are Good on Tuesday July 29, 2025 @09:40PM (#44730203)
Honestly those people are fucking worst. Somehow having an actual camera makes people feel…inadequate? Like cmon dude, let me take my photos why do you have to start saying “oh my phone takes better photos, and i can use it to watch YouTube”
Re:iPhone Cameras Are Good on Tuesday July 29, 2025 @09:36PM (#44730180)
Do you know how childish you sound? That specialized equipment that does one thing really really fucking well is expensive? Is this supposed to be a gotcha
Re:iPhone Cameras Are Good on Tuesday July 29, 2025 @09:33PM (#44730170)
what? You can literally objectively see how much more “normal” they look on an actual camera. Especially the guy on the left, he looks atrocious on the iPhone
Re:iPhone Cameras Are Good on Tuesday July 29, 2025 @09:30PM (#44730159)
It’s really a night a day difference once you spend just a little amount of time learning your camera. I always show people the difference in quality with two photos of my wife and kids during Fourth of July.

One shot is with my iphone15, the other with my Fujifilm xt5. It’s such a stark difference
