I suspect AI crawler would also (quickly learn to) respect it also?

Unfortunately, it is still used for html formatted emails

Re:Nearly Cheating on Saturday November 25, 2023 @12:25PM (#38414880)
As far as I understand, they knew and agreed to that before committing their $$$.
Or 1 million people sold $1 worth of Apple. If you want to execute a large trade, you'd probably have to buy from several sellers, and (my limited understanding of the market is that) you'd do so by matching sell orders in ascending order, thus pushing the market value up.
Looking through the settings, I reckon one can set a message to be sent automatically to your "emergency contacts", along with your location when you use the mentioned feature. A possible use case: coming home late at night, you get followed by a sinister looking guy; you can discreetly ask for help without pulling your phone.

Re:Full Time on Friday June 16, 2023 @06:35PM (#36364875)
Not sure what you mean: (in a rdms) a table is a relation.
I struggled a bit too long to build it: don't forget the `-w` flag (disable all warnings):

    cc -w chia.c -o chia
At a personal level, why would one care? Their medical issue went away!
As said in a sibling comment, you can try it in a desktop browser (Chrome instructions below):

- open developer tools, Toggle device toolbar, pick an iPhone dimension

- Network > More network conditions ("wifi" icon) > User-agent > Custom > "iPhone Safari"

- in Sources, set a breakpoint on the 1st line, refresh the page, when the debugger breaks, type "window.navigator.standalone = true" in the Console, and continue

Re:Banana Equivalent Dose on Tuesday May 02, 2023 @04:09AM (#35784692)
Sample size of one: I have eaten bananas, and I'm not dead.
Ha, ha! Same here... The classical joke here was to send an xkill command: next mouse click will terminate whatever window was under the cursor.

Or, perhaps:

1. Switch to another provider

2. No second step.

Re:The Undeniable Street View on Sunday March 26, 2023 @08:00AM (#35313537)
It is very well possible that it happened through discrete diplomatic channels (and then someone forgot to post it on HN)
Re:Ventura has changed app quarantine with a new xattr on Monday March 13, 2023 @03:02PM (#35140749)

Re:Where Has All the Chartreuse Gone? on Tuesday February 28, 2023 @06:56AM (#34968319)
And another one here as well! Was wondering how many of us are browsing HN...
Re:Nokia launches DIY repairable budget Android phone on Saturday February 25, 2023 @01:21PM (#34939037)
It's supposed to never leave your pocket or your hand. Besides, if someone gets your credit card number and purchases something, you can charge it back. The vendor is supporting the risk, not you.
Even more true for Nokia: people bought Nokia phones (3210, 3310, etc.) because of Snake!
Re:Software 2.0 on Tuesday February 21, 2023 @12:53PM (#34884295)
My bullshitometer was ringing strongly reading this article.
Re:ChatGPT launches boom in AI-written e-books on Amazon on Tuesday February 21, 2023 @12:44PM (#34884132)
Nothing will change unless they (Koko, your AI, whatever) gets legal personality.
Software following the path of least surprise is a good rule of thumb.
Fail2ban is a good mitigation strategy, blocking the IP address after N failed attempts (obviously, it does not protect completely from a determined attacker controlling a network of bots but it raises the bar significantly)
Don't sweat it, your answer reads fine.
