So do you think the assassination attempts on Hitler should never have been carried out?

If they were successful millions could have been spared.

The future is looking primed for war, what if millions more could be spared at the cost of one life?

I see you have fallen back on this argument with the other commenter also.

I don't really gain anything from trying convince you, but I can tell you as someone who lived through a violent coup in my country if you are not will to stand up for yourself you will always be a victim.

I'm entering the US for work in a few weeks and I plan on taking burner devices.
Imagine trying to build a business in this environment.
If that view is that they are racially superior and want to subject the world to their rule based purely on their ability to exert force, then yes.

I'm sure you are aware of the paradox of tolerance, and if you are American then it's no wonder you people are being walked all over by the dumbest set of fascists ever to take power.

You should check out BigMode.

Dunkey is building a game incubator of sorts and there are some interesting titles coming out of it.

Re:I switched from VSCode to Zed on Tuesday January 06, 2026 @04:05AM (#46510189)
VSCode's plugin architecture is a security nightmare and an extremely juicy target for supply chain attacks.

Does Zed address this in any meaningful way?

White supremacy leads directly into war.

It's happened several times over the last 2 centuries and its looking like it will happen again soon.

You should read about Neville Chamberlain and his experience trying to open a dialogue with these people.

"Its wrong to fight nazis"

This sentiment is exactly why the US is in the state it is in.

People who care about right and wrong get wrapped up in useless debates while masked nazis scoop people up off the street and disappear them.

Taking down a website is the very least that should be done.

As an outsider looking in it truly looks as if the US doesn't have the stomach to deal with what is happening and the rest of the world will suffer for it.

And that certainly seems to have solved the problem...

Yes, and its usually a bloated mess
These people have no idea what they are talking about.
If you think people care about coffee quality you must never have been to a Starbucks.
Squidmar has a great video on how high res resin printer are actually too accurate for painting and can actually result in inferior models.

There is a sweet spot between FDM and 4k resin printers that is perfect for painting.

Re:CSS sucks because we don't bother learning it (2022) on Monday January 05, 2026 @01:19PM (#46502523)
You do realize that people develop UI for other platforms without CSS right?
Re:CSS sucks because we don't bother learning it (2022) on Monday January 05, 2026 @01:18PM (#46502511)
No, CSS sucks because its abandonware wrapped in legacy api bullshit.

Web frontend as a whole is a dog chasing its tail.

Its a goldmine for social engineering, has come in handy personally a few times.
I got downvoted like mad for suggesting that HN is a marketing outlet for YC.

The people who frequent this forum think they are immune to astroturfing because they all work in ad tech.

Re:Venezuela's capital hit by explosions, smoke seen on Monday January 05, 2026 @12:22PM (#46501728)
Upside for Americans.

The rest of world will gladly watch the US burn when the time comes.

Because of the upside of course.

Don't forget about Honey!

YC is full of scams.

I outsource my resin prints to avoid the fumes. There are lots of shops in my area that offer the service.

Brittleness hasn't been an issue for me and I have over 100 resin models in my collection.
