Good point. Thanks for clarifying.

That’s not the prompt. He’s not talking about average wealth skewed by mega rich, but middle and lower deciles also being richer is what a richer society means.

The economy is great for most people, it’s usually the envy of the world. Opportunities abound. Most people have no wealth because they’re dumb, or choose not to— I know many of both. They should be able to live dignified lives, but their lack of wealth is not a slight against the system.
Re:Announcing three new discoveries in mathematics, computer science, ...
on Monday October 26, 2026 @08:41PM (#50253299)
Iirc some of the prior math discoveries involved very very very heavy handed guidance to force the AI to discard prior assumptions, and to try many avenues with MAX effort. So ya models don’t behave like ground breaking theoreticians by default.

It’s gotten pretty good too. My employer has a team that wrote their own code review bot with the checks and values we care about and it has gotten quite good over the last six months.

Today I had AI do a design doc cleanup and conciseness sweep on a vibe code project I have.
It removed ~50% totaling 30k words! So annoying how everything I discuss with AI gets documented in 10 the length, and then every subsequent decision is documented in 5 places.

Otoh the Derm I go to is the most pleasant experience I have in medical care. Super nice office, very pleasant chatter, quick full body check in and out. Something to be said about wealthy elective care subsidizing my healthcare experience.

They are causing things to be made that they enjoy. And most likely having far more creative involvement than you’re giving credit for. I hang out on Ai game dev forums. Typical creations are garbage, but good stuff is made through human sweat and ingenuity, regardless of AI.

FOIA requests that have to be redacted are labor intensive.
However, flock shouldn’t need to be redacted right? They’re just public webcams. Lots of those already exist and many stream live.

Sure but that’s a product decision. I don’t think a personal assistant needs to use highest tier model, and personal assist work tends to be kinda shallow, not that tile heavy.

After all the hype, I’ve been kinda disappointed tbh. Modeling specific models are so much better (eg. Tripo3d). Astra still models some janky crap for me.

I agree in spirit. But I’m also most worried about prompt injection attacks given the agent had access to all my stuff, and it seems frontier labs will be best equipt to handle prevention of that.

Re:Claude Opus 5.5 Intelligence, Performance and Price Analysis (Max)
on Thursday September 24, 2026 @11:53AM (#49832465)
It’s a trade off of productivity and control.
It’s like learning to delegate and let go. The more senior I got the more I had to learn to let other engineers make decision i thought were suboptimal but mostly good enough. That positioned me well to be comfortable with agents. It’s contextual how much I’m willing to give them control and how much to review afterwards.
