Aside from that, the amount of people who are willing to take the side effects of growing is not going to be that large. I think most short cisgender men aren't actually insecure enough about it to take medication for their height. Then you're going to have to develop therapy to make sure that people are able to deal with the psychological aspect of continuing to feel insecure despite improvements in appearance, like they do with extreme weight loss or plastic surgery.
If someone did successfully create a product to increase height, it would create a lot of people who realize they are insecure about everything else after they get taller lol
Young dudes are way more respectful of other engineers' actual skill, and less likely to ask female coworkers on dates or do other weird things that drive them away. My mom has actually seen a few younger guys step up and defend her after like forty years of handling these dickbrains on her own. The social side of things, at least in most companies we've seen, has become moderately better for everyone who isn't at work to get a date.
Aside from that, it would be cool to have some kind of automatic inventory and info system for items in my home that can make minor assumptions about what you want, or do a "twenty questions" game to help find a word you forgot. My gf is dyslexic and can't remember words that she's only seen in writing, so she sometimes gets really irritated when she's trying to explain stuff and she can't even think of what letter the word starts with. I notice that when she wants to think of a specific word like "conglomeration" she has a very hard time thinking of how to describe the concept. So something that would be like "are you thinking of a noun? Is it a person, group, etc?" without her having to write a stating sentence would be helpful. It would have to just have a "start questions" button, bc she will get stressed by trying to think of how to start the writing lol
I took vitamin D for a while when i had a blood test showing that i was at the lower end of normal, but it didn't seem to feel any different. Aside from that, i have been on a prescription snri for almost ten years, and i consume coffee and marijuana often.
I tried melatonin, but I cannot confirm that it's any different than a placebo. I also tried progesterone and felt no effect, but my mom is in menopause and swears that it helps, so maybe I'll do it again when I'm older if i get hot flashes and stuff.
But yeah basically I'm a supplement skeptic unless you have blood tests indicating a deficiency.
When i was a teenager i read this one called Cathy's Book that had little notes and an actual phone number you could call to hear the characters. I'd love to see more fiction using elements outside the book like that.
I never got super into video games because my dexterity is crap at high speeds. But as i got into my teen years, my grandma who was super into photography gave me her old laptop. I was really into changing the color of pics, trying to give people makeup, etc. I also really like specific data software like RadarOmega.
In general, i would say try and get fun stuff that doesn't have the pressure of timers and points and game over screens until the kid is old enough to understand competition and games in real life.
But yeah, i had covid after being vaccinated and it really affected my ability to control my anger. It was very strange because I've always been known as a pretty chill person, and before covid i had never been angry enough to feel like controlling it was hard.
I don't think you're advocating for the left or right, but it does sound like you're advocating for the idea that people being wrong about lots of stuff is dangerous and scary. Idk, I think that's just normal and people aren't going to be as freaked out about it as you are.
My partner is dyslexic and computers are one of her triggers for anxiety, so I'm planning to write up instructions for her along with my mom or sister, bc i know she already has a hard enough time technologically even with me not being dead. I don't need her crying and throwing the computer on the ground after i die bc she put the wrong password in 5 times and got locked out. It's not that she isn't smart enough, i just think it's not ideal for her to be trying to parse my tech stuff in what is already a potentially traumatic situation.
For me it's way too hard to stop worrying and think positive, so instead of trying to get rid of the concerns i kinda try to accept them and give myself a vague plan for it. (Like if this part fails it will take 3 months to catch up again, or if everything catastrophically fails it will take a year at a normal job to be out of debt again, etc)
I personally found a lot of enjoyment in swing and ballroom dance bc the level of exercise is less strenuous, there's more variety of people to talk to, there's generally no alcohol, and they typically have a structured intro time for beginners before an event.
I've had it for almost a year and i like it a lot. I kept my last car for about ten years and i plan to do the same with this one. I'm not sure if I'll go with Kia again, considering how different things will be by the time I'm getting another car.
Anyway, i think the best thing is the hatchback design being so open and big for such a small car.
A: is the information useful or helpful to something I'm actually doing? (Vs useful or helpful to a theoretical future plan)
B: do i already have enough information on this topic?
C: is the acquisition of this information causing me stress or taking too much time away from other things?
I did decide to stop reading psychology articles bc of this process. I have enough information about psychology to make reasonable decisions for myself, and continuing to read about it gets me into emotional states about the accuracy and uses of the information. After a while i realized that I'm no longer gaining anything from new information on this topic, and it would be more productive to spend time writing and working on my own ideas relating to the information i already have.
I've also always thought people are turning the tv up way too loud, and if they can't hear good enough for tv they should just turn on subtitles instead of making the whole house loud. Idk if sound quality is actually worse now, or if people have finally learned some shame about blasting their audio at everyone around them.
The character is pretty much me but with most of my attention focused on performance, and the process of practicing and scheduling a performance makes me start getting into character with that group far before the actual show.
I think a big thing that performance has helped me with is the feeling that i have to change my personality. Now i feel more that i am practicing and performing a character based on my real personality, instead of trying to delete parts of it and replace them with more extroverted personality traits.
Another one is getting the shower head with a hose and putting a second holder low on the wall so the spray doesn't hit my head/face accidentally. This one was started by my mom bc i have autism and hate showers, and she figured out that if the water doesn't hit my face i can tolerate it longer.
I used to be optimistic about stuff but now i just go online and tell people the pessimist view of their problems lol
We also have a silly time every year where the pto is about to reset, and suddenly everyone is taking multiple days off in the same month. I mean i guess they pick a less busy month for it to reset, but it just seems like it would be better if everyone picked a random month to go on vacation instead.
