Also look at Braeburn Capital.

It is a hedge fund owned by apple, it has at least $237B under management.

He asked on Tuesday, how is he meant to believe anything they say?

Its not the first time they have mislead the court.

Microsoft was there before Apple and Google. Remember Windows Mobile 6

I think the closest real analogy to what your thinking is Amazon, where they sell things like the Kindle line of items, close to price. In the hope that you buy more stuff from them.

Look at the fire tablets, you have a 7" for $50, there is no way there is any profit in that price.

I remember the HD7, I was eyeing it off for a while, I could buy one, I just couldn't find a phone store near me that would let me try one. I moved to Android and the HTC Desire HD.

I had been a Windows Mobile 6.1 user.

Few people see IT as anything but a cost, When companies run a tender, they go with the lowest cost bidder.

Companies that bid, also have twisted priorities, the people who do the bidding, aren't the people that have anything to do with the project, they more onto the next bid.

Also Judges can request cases, and it might be that since he understands what the tech mumbo jumbo is, he got the case.

This screams of shifty dealings.
Re:Alibaba is leading a $27M investment in MariaDB on Friday September 29, 2017 @03:06PM (#15368195)
I don't know if Monty has anymore kids to name databases after.

Monty is the one who first created MySQL, and later foked MySQL to create MariaDB. There is also MaxDB, but it looks to be a SAP product.

It sounds like the HTC Pixel Team, minus the management people.
Re:Steve Jobs reviews the iPhone X on Sunday September 17, 2017 @03:17PM (#15271208)
The Essential Phone, did the same thing with the front facing camera, placing it there, is a nice design choice, but apple wow, do you need that much space?

Also gone is the design compromise that was the home button.

This is why I have my own domain. I saw my use of my @gmail address as an issue a decade ago.

If they were going to do this, they would have pulled the advertising out of google.

This would drop what Google makes, but would also reduce what Google can be fined in the EU.

*edit, I mean the legal entity that sells the ads. DoubleClick, adsense,...

The problem for his case is, he is fighting in New Zealand for how the case is made, but the real case is in the US.

The US Authorities haven't followed the New Zealand Law before, why would they follow it now? They didn't break the law in using GCSB, why should their case be affected?

Just because they illegally took the evidence collected? Than they would have closed the case before now.

I am surprised Google hasn't tried a Sergey Aleynikov, on him yet.
You Don't talk about the Battle of Brisbane.
I don't think so, Levandowski would be up on criminal charges or pleaded guilty to get a lesser sentence. Either way if if there is any truth in it, no one is going to hire the guy ever again.

read up on Sergey Aleynikov https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sergey_Aleynikov and there was no malice in that one.

Yes, But the time would be served in Australia, and Australia doesn't see corporations as people.
