Yes you can, providing you call Apple.

Sadly, you're mistaken. http://i.imgur.com/SPBUH.png

If you're iPhone doesn't have it, blame your carrier http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1937

Shouldn't tablets be avoiding subpixel anti-aliasing if they can be turned on the side? Doesn't it just _not work_?
If you visit the site on iOS, it will prompt you to download the Apple Store app.
Re:Why Apple Made Three iPhone 5 Models on Thursday September 13, 2012 @10:34PM (#4519730)
iPhone 4s is unable to be used on both GSM and CDMA networks because of the carriers unwillingness to let 'foreign' devices onto their network.

I've recently fallen in love with Automator. Although it make have a few limitations, you can get around it by embedding AppleScript or Python.

In two minutes I made a quick and dirty system wide workflow to download the selected URL.

OS X has dead simple automatic backup built in. In fact, whenever you plug in a compatible hard drive, Time Machine will prompt you to enable.

Apple has already done everything they should.

Re:OS X Mountain Lion: Data Loss via 'Save As' on Saturday August 04, 2012 @10:13PM (#4340353)
Always assume that every change you make is saved automatically, much like cutting down a physical photo.

If you still want the original photo, and another cut down version, you would use a photo copier to Duplicate the original, then cut the copy.

Wikipedia isn't a blog where you just browse through all articles. You have to actively seek out articles on each topic.
> take it to small claims court and it will get sorted in no time

Hope you're not under the impression that Apple will just 'cave in' and fix it out of court to minimise hassel.

> If Apple could have replaced my logic board at no cost to themselves, then why in the hell did they drag this out for so long, and why did they send two people to court to try and make sure that I got absolutely nothing? Friends, this is a question I have been asking myself for three months, and it is a question that I do not have the answer to.

AppleCare is not required, and in includes other things that are not covered under implicit rights, such as onsite support, or telephone support outside of 1 incident/90 days.

Yeah, we're forbidden from it. Conflict of interest.

That's funny.

I find using a microwave to boil water so... strange and unnatural. I'm not sure why, but its just odd. That's what a kettle is for!

GE sells refrigerators, MRI machines, insurance & financing and owns a television network.

We've actually already been there.

Really?

Do you know of any other (free) options out there with comparable options? I really only use the hosted email, but other features are always handy

Re:IPad '4G' claims face scrutiny from UK regulator on Tuesday May 01, 2012 @09:10AM (#3914122)
Customers who bought the 4G iPad before the 28th March had until the 25th of April to approach Apple for a refund.
Gestures are keyboard shortcuts for the mouse/trackpad. The thing about Mac is that none of these gestures are actually needed for the OS. Pretty much every gesture has a corresponding Dock item to launch it as well.

Gestures are an extra. An added bonus. Think the multitasking gestures for iOS 5 on iPad

Re:The iPad’s split keyboard has 6 invisible keys on Wednesday April 25, 2012 @09:37AM (#3889042)
Do you have a new iPad (or iPhone 4S) with Dictation turned on? Try this one: Press and letter and then the microphone button quickly and repeat. Instead of interrupting your quick typing, it will register the press as a space instead.

Apple pays attention to the details.

Re:Poll: What is your primary operating system on Monday April 02, 2012 @11:03AM (#3788439)
OS X is not really that locked down. There is quite a lot you can go through and change and customise and tinker until your heart is content.
Re:Poll: What is your primary operating system on Monday April 02, 2012 @11:00AM (#3788420)
Why I love OS X.

I remember using Terminal to change every single .string string to "LOL" on one of the school macs. Good times indeed...

Just out of curiosity, what is making you move towards Linux?

The huge appeal of OS X to me is, as someone said on here recently, it's basically *BSD with a fancy window manager and 1-to-1 hardware/software integration.
