It's funny because it starts to be (an application you could just install) - AI agents could work as pair programming buddies.
To match the offer to the market - if the base engine is more powerful than the market standard at a given price then you can lower the power because the customer will not choose another car on that basis anyway. And you can take more money from enthusiasts.
It is true, the performance of the engine depends on the version of the software - manufacturer declares that this engine with this software can achieve this maximum performance and the software can't be legally nad officially tuned or changed. Btw in my country tax depends on engine displacement so it doesn't really change anything.
Re:A Global Look at Teletext on Monday August 11, 2025 @10:32AM (#44864554)
"Poland started with teletext broadcasts in 1988, the year before they exited the USSR."

It's a small detail but Poland was never a part of the USSR. Could be changed to "exited the Eastern Bloc".

I wonder if this is one of the causes of hoarding. I hate to throw away stuff because for me it's like erasing memories from my brain.

Exactly, I have severe myopia, that was quickly developing during my teenage years so my glasses were often too weak. Beacuse of that my brain learned to identify people by gait too.

I think it's more about not remembering the feel of being hurt by someone - like he knows that this person did something bad to him but he doesnt't remember emotions connected to that event, that's why it's harder to hold a grudge.

Turkey is a good place to visit too, if you like ancient ruins: https://lionsinthepiazza.com/ancient-ruins-turkey-southern-c...

It's the official church title - "minor basilica". There are only four "major basilicas" in Rome.

There is only one water connection but sometimes it can be connected to hot water instead of cold.
Protein can't turn into a fat. There is no path for that in our body.
Re:There Are Two Types of Dishwasher People on Saturday April 19, 2025 @09:10AM (#43736161)
I don't think it's a joke. It's something that people are really doing (I will in my new apartment)
Re:There Are Two Types of Dishwasher People on Saturday April 19, 2025 @09:00AM (#43736105)
That's no true - many european dishwashers can be connected to cold or to hot water. I have a Siemens one that has this option.
Re:There Are Two Types of Dishwasher People on Saturday April 19, 2025 @08:58AM (#43736096)
I think all apartment buildings have recirculators so somehow it works.
Re:There Are Two Types of Dishwasher People on Friday April 18, 2025 @08:18AM (#43727366)
Some dishwashers have an option to change the height of bottom rack by moving upper rack up or down. You should check that, maybe it's you dishwasher too.
Re:There Are Two Types of Dishwasher People on Friday April 18, 2025 @08:12AM (#43727320)
There are people that are anxious about going to the public toilet so I would say your argument is invalid.
Re:There Are Two Types of Dishwasher People on Friday April 18, 2025 @06:59AM (#43726838)
I get rid of bigger chunks only and left sauce and grease. My dishwasher has no problem with that.
Re:There Are Two Types of Dishwasher People on Thursday April 17, 2025 @02:50PM (#43720720)
I don't even rinse - I just throw bigger chunks of food to the garbage can and that's it. I event let the sauce to flow to the bottom of the dishwasher.
I think that's a misunderstanding. If you could build the house using only resources that you already have than you would have 100k dollars AND a house. That's the idea of mercantilism. Of course sometimes you just don't have needed resources and than you have to buy something but you should limit it to things you can't obtain in any other way. Mercantilism is one of the reasons of colonialism. If you can take resources from some part of the world that you don't really care about, then you are adding wealth to your own country for basically free.
Hard times are ahead if nations start to care only about their best interest and not about what is the best interest of the whole world.

I've never heard about gumroad in Europe. And many people do not trust PayPal (I don't).

I don't know about Prague but in Krakow you could find something decent for 1000 USD (including utilities). Even less if city centre is not a must.
Re:A Short Introduction to Automotive Lidar Technology on Tuesday November 26, 2024 @02:39AM (#42243390)
I totally agree, I think most accidents are caused by human nature (especially slow reaction time in specific conditions like being tired or drunk) and ignoring laws of physics (driving too fast). And some are just a pure bad luck (something/someone getting on the road right in front of the car).
Re:A Short Introduction to Automotive Lidar Technology on Tuesday November 26, 2024 @02:35AM (#42243373)
To be honest, it's possible that having too much data can only cause problems in quick decision-making. Any redundant data will only slow down processing pipelines.
Re:A Short Introduction to Automotive Lidar Technology on Tuesday November 26, 2024 @02:32AM (#42243356)
Still, millions of humans drive every night and only a miniscule percentage cause any accidents. So maybe we are not so bad at this.
Re:A Short Introduction to Automotive Lidar Technology on Tuesday November 26, 2024 @02:30AM (#42243342)
And how many car accidents did you cause in your life? Probably still no a lot even with your flawed vision.
Re:A Short Introduction to Automotive Lidar Technology on Monday November 25, 2024 @06:28PM (#42241164)
Theoretically if a human can drive a car using a pair of eyes connected to brain, it should be possible to do that using two cameras connected to some kind of image processing unit.
I think the misunderstanding is caused by existing of two types of ramen - traditional, good quality is one, and another is instant - bad quality fast food.
Yes, there are more "types" of foods that are high in fat and sodium, but that does not mean that these foods are more popular or more hyper-palatable than the ones with sugar. We would need another, different study to resolve this.
