Re:Cash buyers make up almost a third of U.S. home purchases on Monday September 19, 2022 @11:35PM (#32907369)
A report I read before showed that it's hard for americans to buy a house now. While it seems that the inflation and pandemic don't stop people with enough money from buying a house.

Re:Twilio to lay off 11% of workforce on Wednesday September 14, 2022 @11:33PM (#32846652)
Well. Job cuts are a serious problem right now. A report from CouponBirds shows that the US unemployment rate rose to 3.7 percent in August of 2022, the highest since February and above market expectations of 3.5 percent. The number of unemployed people increased by 344 thousand to 6.014 million, while employment levels went up by 442 thousand to 158.732 million. And according to the survey, the District of Columbia had the highest unemployment rate in August at 5.2 percent, followed by Alaska and New Mexico, both at 4.5. Minnesota had the lowest unemployment rate, at 1.8 percent.

I read a report earlier that the suicide rate in the United States increased from 16.99 percent in 2011 to 20.86 percent in 2020. The overall suicide rate has risen slowly over the past decade. https://www.couponbirds.com/research-center/data/suicide-is-... Suicide is a serious problem, many times people do not get the corresponding care and guidance and choose to end their lives. Governments and communities need to pay more attention to people's psychological health. Especially during the pandemic, when many people's income is affected and their living burden is increased, people are easier to go to extremes.
Re:What you like the most about online shopping on Wednesday August 24, 2022 @08:15AM (#32578355)
I can get almost everything from online shopping. No need to bargain with staff. Just Pick whatever I want and order. I can also get discounts and save money. When there is a holiday and sales event, I will buy many pieces at a time and get some discounts. I also like to look for discounts on coupon websites, like Retailmenot, Honey, and CouponBirds. Those sites help me save a lot. Items are often more expensive in brick-and-mortar stores because of the cost of store rent and staff. Why not reject saving money?
Re:Why workers just won’t stop quitting on Sunday August 21, 2022 @09:49PM (#32546435)
An important factor for people to quit their jobs is to choose a higher income so as not to affect their quality of life in the face of rising prices. At the same time, corporate culture is also an important factor. If they are unhappy in the place where they work, many people will choose to quit. https://www.couponbirds.com/research-center/data/an-unpreced...

In many cases, companies need to consider not only paying their employees, but also providing them with a good working atmosphere and proper care.

Re:What are you supposed to do with old clothes? on Thursday August 11, 2022 @05:47AM (#32423480)
In my opinion, the best way to dispose of Old cloth is to either sell it to the second hand market or give it to someone else. It's a waste to just throw away old clothes. Now second-hand goods trading is actually more popular than before, especially during the epidemic period, supply chain crisis, more and more people are willing to buy second-hand goods and clothes.

Based on a report from CouponBirds, sales in the used market are expected to reach $54 billion in 2022, up more than 50% from $35 billion in 2021. The US second-hand market is set to double to $82 billion by 2026, 16 times faster than the overall fashion retail market.

Selling to second-hand dealers and donating, this is the best way I can think of to dispose of old clothes.

If you are an alcohol lover then there will be hardly a chance that you have never tasted the world's most consumed alcoholic beverage, beer. As one of the oldest drinks ever known to humankind and the most popular beverage of all time, it has a day in its honor on the 5th of August.
