Agreed- They're going to capitulate to law enforcement without a court order if they don't like your politics... or if it's inconvenient for them.

Such things are vanishingly rare, not (as they are sometimes depicted) the default. So if you’re expecting that we will automatically say, “Shove it, coppah!” anytime the police come calling about your site, we’re not the right service for you.

“thought terminating cliche” is itself a thought terminating cliche.

An incredibly lazy, unintelligible way of arguing, but alas…

More than I spent studying in college.

Interviewing has gotten out of hand...

It's a "standard" amount for rice cookers- https://www.thespruceeats.com/measuring-rice-for-rice-cooker...

1 rice cup produces 1 cup of rice when cooked

IIRC "cup" refers to the plastic cup (160ml) that comes with the instant pot.

EDIT: 1 rice cup is 180ml- meaning it will produce 1 cup of rice when done.

Civil Law vs Common Law?
I guess they could just create bogus entries that show as emails for IMAP/POP users.

Wonder if - lacking an order top stop from the FCC - I could occupy a frequency and ultimately claim squatters rights or adverse posession on the frequency if someone eventually licenses it.
The govt fabricated bullshit about WMDs in Iraq, I don't see why they wouldn't lie about a baloon.

Terrorism was used to pass the patriot act, anti-Chinese sentiment is being used for The Restrict Act and god knows what else is in the pipeline.

With those pre-reqs, is there anything Windows Sandbox can do that Sandboxie can't?

I'm sure that's not passed onto the customers at all.

Depends on the judges involved.

Crypto speculation. Like all speculation is ultimately gambling, which people can get addicted to.

Most sealife has mirror symmetry though, doesn't it?

I guess jellyfish, urchins meet the rotational symmetry though.

With the GetFileName plugin if you like to preserve the original filename.
I remember really wanting one of these back in 2007 or 2008.
He's on a bender.
Run of the mill narcissism.

Did you (or your lab members) publish contradictory results, or should I just trust this assessment?

> Work and verification of work builds on each other. And every once in a while, we have a major milestone that verifies that much of the work that went into accomplishing the milestone (such as the moon landing) is generally correct.

Right- that's called trust. I can't independently launch my own lunar program, so I trust those that did... did.

Re:A quick breakdown of what SWIFT is and why it matters on Friday February 25, 2022 @07:54PM (#30474307)
No, it's absolutely absurd that you expect every scientist to independently (and recursively) verify every result their work is based on.
Re:A quick breakdown of what SWIFT is and why it matters on Friday February 25, 2022 @06:48PM (#30473825)
With unlimited resources, sure.

But most scientists trust the peer review process and base their work on their own ideas and the ideas/results they read in journals.

In short, scientists trust other scientists.

Pretty much all human interaction is trust based.
