Re:Apple: No Macintosh Forks. But the iPad... on Sunday July 28, 2019 @02:32AM (#20546154)
He is right for right now, but the long game is the axx chip in most apple products. The MacPro won’t have one, if it’s still around then. ipad pros will get a dock much like today’s dell usb type c docks. you will connect up to your screen while at your desk. do what you need to do with the keyboard and mouse. Even have a vdi app for access to some corp windows only apps. Then unplug it for meetings with note taking etc. It sounds like an interesting future.
Re:Facebook Is Dying on Saturday July 27, 2019 @07:43PM (#20544937)
I suspect its not, but it would be nice if it did go.

“Vast sums are continually changing hands in the litigation upon them. They have probably made and unmade more fortunes than all other agencies combined.” He was spot on with patent lawyers!
Then people should meet at the town hall and talked, this kind of stuff got done before facebook. And people where just as busy, bringing kids up going to work etc.
all of them are suspects, you have just not been caught yet
Re:Apple iCloud Experiencing Issues on Thursday July 04, 2019 @03:57PM (#20357272)
Its probably some back end access for five eyes, and needs a re-start of everything. Its too fishy for it just to a coincidence.
This will be bad for global warming. All that extra energy being produced.
This comes down to what advertisers want, they call the shots on the content on youtube.

Like all good models, you just keep tweaking the numbers until you get the result you want!
Coming to Dissenter browser soon :D
Some people need some serious prison time to put a stop to this.
If the contract to build the plant is let correctly, then it can be made to be safe. When something is outsourced and it does not work, most of the time the person letting the contract has done a shit job.
Wind can cause serous issues to birds flying around, and the amount of land that needs to be used for solar is a lot. And that will bring its own issues.

We could save the planet this way! But we need that room for wind and solar!

Nuclear is the only way to go.

Its a crap deep fake, and sounds nothing like him.
Re:TSA-style body scanners are coming to public spaces on Sunday June 02, 2019 @05:47AM (#20074469)
none of the safety concerns will matter, if the bribes are big enough. Politicians will be exempt.
Re:Switch from Chrome to Firefox on Thursday May 30, 2019 @02:26PM (#20054395)
Firefox was lost to me when they removed the dissenter plugin from their plugins site. Using the dissenter browser now. It’s fast and it works great.
Everyone has to agree with the bully in the play ground. The bully is not around forever though. A new one comes along.
If you post it publicly, then its fair game what it can be used for.
Re:Apple introduces 8-core MacBook Pro on Tuesday May 21, 2019 @03:47PM (#19974118)
i am sticking to my 2017 macbook air. This is from a time when apple knew what they where doing, and it has a proper usb port. And the handy magnetic connector that saved my laptop more times than i care to mention. My next laptop prob wont be a mac.
that’s the point of the gig economy, the big corps that run the world. don’t want to have to pay worker protections. pension contribution, sick pay. pain holiday, it cuts down on their bottom line. better if everyone is a contractor they can get rid off.
Re:I'm Against Podcasts on Wednesday April 24, 2019 @12:52PM (#19740301)
Ironic that the Washington post are complaining about alternative media! Its almost like they have revenue issues!
Or how about we don't use a computer at all, something as important as elections should have nothing to do with a computer. If the russians are that good at hacking elections, why take the chance?
We should not be messing with this, we are not smart enough to see what will happen in the future.
I am not supprised that they are doing this, if you dont like what they are doing then dont work there. Why should people who work there be protesting their own company! They should expected be fired.
Just deciding they want to put it up 50 dollars a month is insane!
