Oh yes, these kinds of shortcuts have always worked great.

Same for Russia.
I've always imaginged that Amazonia is a hive of all types of diseases. I'd rather wonder how did they manage to survive there.
Would be funny if the defending side sent all the info they have to openai, tipping off to attacking models that they were noticed.
Re:So you want to learn physics (second edition, 2021) on Monday July 13, 2026 @02:54AM (#48888849)
Just using an opportunityto promote guys making really great videos about basic physics, focusing on experiments:

Unfortunately, English version are somewhat reduced from Russian, but still.

Re:How to Read More Books on Sunday July 12, 2026 @03:54PM (#48884101)
Thanks. Honestly, I am somewhat concerned with all those 3rd party apps obtaining some control of my phone. Personally, would be so much nicer to have the same service provided by system. Vibecoding one is really an option.
Re:How to Read More Books on Sunday July 12, 2026 @03:12PM (#48883693)
The most distracting app for me is Telegram with numerous channels, which I find myself doomscrolling too often, and at the same with numerous crucial personal contracts.

Really sad modern phones don't allow to set app's budget for custom interval, like 5 minutes in an hour.

I would guess they mean hiit can traumatize e.g. joints or cardiovascular system, especially for the elderly.
First thing coming into mind is the number of companies and individuals blocking Russians in the beginning of the war before any sanctions out of virtue signalling.
Re:Ten years of ClickHouse in open source on Friday June 19, 2026 @12:11PM (#48600169)
It is sad they are afraid to mention on the page that "data processing for a web analytics system ... similar to Google Analytics" was actually something used in Yandex.
Out of curiosity, can that model be trained from the beginning without touching "sensitive" areas and remain useful in others? Will it be able to help in building biological weapons without being trained on articles and books about biology/ medicine?
Just for context, it looks very much the same as Fast Payment System in Russia. Been a thing for some 10 years, and huge amount of retail works on it.
Re:Google changes its search box on Tuesday May 19, 2026 @03:00PM (#48197778)
I think perplexity implements the same. Ive been using it as a default search for a month and actually still find myself explicitly using Google instead.

The ai generated summaries are slow, often miss the point of question and seem to be focused on user engagement, not in giving set of infos to sort out myself.

So there are two different types of queries, and when I want llm's answer, I ask chatgpt directly.

Interesting if his educational startup turned out to be less perspective at least with the current gen of llms.

Not buying that untill they use a picture from the Simpsons
Re:Bugs Rust Won't Catch on Wednesday April 29, 2026 @12:26PM (#47950648)
Was at actually so important to rush with the switch?
Re:Bugs Rust Won't Catch on Wednesday April 29, 2026 @04:18AM (#47945529)
Ok if there were some rust guys rewriting coreutils with no experience in linux, but how come Ubuntu accepted it into its mainline?
Re:Chernobyl Wildlife Forty Years On on Monday April 27, 2026 @02:15PM (#47925196)
If you check what people were telling about him (at least here: https://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%94%D1%8F%D1%82%D0%BB%D0%BE..., sorry for Russian), you will find what the opinions were very different. Yet in the series it all boiled down to a very primitive character.
Re:Chernobyl Wildlife Forty Years On on Monday April 27, 2026 @04:25AM (#47919046)
It is silly how the show depicted Dyatlov as an arrogant sargeant behaving like a bully in American series about mid school kids.

This alone sets the tone of a TV show that needs to have clear goodies and baddies, and obviously life is never that simple.

Is it actually allowed to suggest that some races are better than others in some areas?
Re:Middle schooler finds coin from Troy in Berlin on Friday April 17, 2026 @05:06PM (#47810569)
I don't get why people capable of making complex bas-relief could not make the coin more or less round
Re:America tells private firms to "hack back" on Wednesday March 25, 2026 @05:10AM (#47515027)
> more about authorizing private to your army to find and capture pirate vessels

I think important detail is that it authorised attacks on any foreign vessel (of a specific nation), not only on pirate ships.

I just wonder if there are comments in this thread from anthropic bots, marketing itself
> more than 1.5 million people have taken action, either by cancelling subscriptions, sharing boycott messages on social media, or signing up via quitgpt.org

That's just silly compared to their user base and wont have any effect

Re:What Is OAuth? on Saturday February 21, 2026 @09:21AM (#47101098)

Author managed to simultaneously praise the question and avoid answering it at all.

Re:Compressed Agents.md > Agent Skills on Friday January 30, 2026 @01:33AM (#46821190)
Is not that model-dependant? Skimmed through, but did not find which model the tests were run with.
> That suggests that Russia was for 20+ years fine with whatever financial crimes this guy had been committing as long as he played ball ... and is really using these crimes to get him now for political motives.

Even if so, it does not contradict the idea that his actions may have been unlawful and thus can be punished according to crimial law.

Re:Kidnapped by Deutsche Bahn on Monday December 29, 2025 @09:02AM (#46420850)
It just destroys the "eco" image of deutsche railways.

Well, I'm all pro public transport, but please make it work first.

Im jealous of people able to write multi-paragraph text for such a simple thought.
Re:Stacked Diffs with git rebase —onto on Sunday December 07, 2025 @02:48PM (#46184509)
Hard part is keeping the feature branches orthogonal and maintaing all the -base branches. Every fixup commit would invalidate them.
