Musk had no influence on the AfD numbers. He attached himself to Trump after he thought that Trump would be winning, donated $250 million to the campaign and received $250 billion in stock (and probably cryptocoin) rallies after the election.

He tries the same with the AfD. The AfD was already 19-21% in polls before his intervention, now it is 20-22%, probably for unrelated reasons. Musk isn't exactly popular in Germany. AfD voters aren't stupid and know that Musk has a US agenda, not a German one.

The established parties (CDU/CSU, SPD, FDP) have failed their voters. Brandt, Schmidt, Kohl, Schroeder all stood up for Germany and weren't shy of criticizing the US when necessary.

Now Germany is a US colony, with Scholz grinning sheepishly while Biden lectures him on Nordstream and threatens its destruction.

It is very easy for the CDU to get 45%: Send the 1.3 million Ukrainian refugees to the US with a note that the countries provoking wars (Trump quote in addition to many Musk and Sacks comments!) can take the refugees. Open Nordstream, and if it is blown up again, tell FAANG, Tesla and Microsoft to leave Europe.
