You say “there it is!” like my position was in anyway obscured lol.
Yes in fact my sister transitioned years ago and she’s so much happier for it. She’s not the only one too. It’s crazy just how much it can turn someone’s life around to receive proper care.
You dodged my question though, what is your connection to this issue? I’m curious why you care so much.
It’s the same where I live and it’s insane. Nearly every day there’s a leaf blower going for seemingly hours and it’s so loud.
> I understand all of it.
Yet you just keep repeating the talking points someone else gave you.
Puberty blockers are safe and temporary. Once you stop taking them, things proceed normally from where you left off. I fully support their use in delaying puberty until someone is old enough to medically transition, and I fully support socially transitioning at any age.
Can I ask, how does this issue affect you personally? Do you know anyone who is trans, or have you dealt with these issue yourself?
Cross dressing is not the same as being transgender. Being transgender is when you transition.
Yeah man, the standard of care is to wait until at least 18 before any surgeries. So if we’re talking about surgery (which we weren’t, transitioning doesn’t require surgery) then we aren’t talking about kids.
You are so upset about this but you don’t seem to actually understand any of it?
Correct, cross dressing is something different. Some people are transgender and some people just like to cross dress. Nothing wrong with either.
No one was talking about children’s genitals until you brought it up, weirdo
I think it’s a little ridiculous to pretend that being transgender isn’t a biological fact.
At the end of the day, the best treatment we know of for gender dysphoria is transitioning. It leads to happier and longer lives than anything else.
Actually there are some utilities out there with programs like this!
They do get magical components and firmware, they make them
Yup, it’s a rack+software. My understanding is that you get all the convenience of the cloud, but the hardware is yours
They can decide to feel shame if the want, I’m just calling it what it is
It means the original comment is poorly veiled transphobia
F1 teams have never fully owned the car, you’ll notice they all look pretty similar. The FIA has a lot of rules around the construction of the cars
Everyone deserves to eat. It’s unfortunate that we can’t all agree to this
We don’t have to fully outlaw gambling or other forms of high risk entertainment, but we absolutely should be outlawing the pervasive advertising these companies are doing. You can’t enjoy sports these days without dodging tons of ads for betting platforms
No. I will not make apolitical art.
I don’t understand, you want them to reframe using 1990s language?
I think this is a fantastic distinction to make, and one I haven’t seen before.
Well you can if those things first come back for a time
First paragraph of their statement I think better summarizes their reasoning:
> In view of increasing geopolitical unrest, DNB is strengthening its crisis preparedness. Improving the liquidity and tradability of the Dutch gold reserves is part of these preparations. Moreover, a more balanced distribution of these reserves between North America, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands helps to spread risks and will make them more readily available for use in a crisis situation.
The goal is to make these reserves more liquid in the event of a geopolitical crisis. It’s easy to say that Trump was a factor in this decision given that he has been the cause of one geopolitical crisis after another. That hypothetical crisis doesn’t have to directly involve the Netherlands for this to make sense. For example, the price of oil shot way up because Trump decided to poke Iran and having more liquid reserves could make responding to that easier.
Of course the bank is not going to make a political statement, they have more important business to do. The article makes it pretty clear right at the top that the bank’s statement doesn’t mention Trump:
> Experts say that rhetoric appears inherently related to the abrasiveness of the Trump administration towards traditional allies.
Also, the “experts” are just right here. Are you gonna say that Trump hasn’t been throwing our allies under the bus?
Most people who wrote software before AI didn’t contribute to projects like Debian because it takes a certain passion and commitment. Just being able to write code is not the bar for entrance here.
"Improving" it with AI is the sloppy way. Take some time and flush out your ideas the old fashioned way. I promise you the end result will be better and you will come away with a more thorough understanding.
If that’s the cost of super intelligence then yeah maybe
I could contain it easy, just unplug the internet. It got out of the sandbox through a vulnerability in the package manager, from which it gained access to the rest of their network. Air gap the package manager and this doesn’t happen. You can always build a better box
Given the enormous lifetime of these devices, I’d say chances are pretty good! The only thing that’s going to make an M series Mac obsolete is when Apple stops releasing updates. If you can run Linux on it, that thing is going to last forever.
I think it’s easy to infer from that title that “shipyard” is an individual project or organization and not IPFS as a whole
The wait can be pretty short, I once got the charging port on my iPhone replaced same day at an Apple Store in Vegas
Based on the final paragraph before the edit it sounds like it was about Germany and the EU as a whole
I’m sorry, the primary goal of most people on these apps is attention. That’s why they’re able to extract so much money from men
