one of the main ones with the tray printers is dusty rollers . the rubber rollers that roll the paper out of the tray will get dirty and the paper will slip and cause jams or miss printing. of course theirs no error code for dirty rollers so the printer would say all kinds of shit because it would end up being a paper jam. we also used labels in the pharmacy and those would peel off and end up stuck all over the inside of the printer, good times haha.

I used to fix Lexmark printers , they are "PC load letter" printers. not as bad as HP but lexmark printers stop working for various no reasons. Most of the time the trays would mess up due to a little dust or you would have to get the person to smack the drum over the phone and that would usually help. they never stop working but they will crumble 10 pages into a ball inside the machine ha..

side note . HP printers are the worst for PC load letter. I've fixed HP printers my whole life. I love reading the manuals and they use "might" or "maybe" to describe fixes or errors.

i live in Canada and luckily bought a house about 5 years ago before this all went crazy. one of the main reasons I bought is because my mortgage payment is and was half of what rent would be in a comparable house and i get all my money back if I decide to sell and move on . i don't make a ton of money but my house is a great safety net and by the time i retire i will have zero monthly payments be it rent or mortgage.

its crazy tho , my friend is looking to buy the same house as mine , same layout etc and its more than double what i paid for mine in the span of 5 years. our kids will never be able to enter the real estate market and will be living with roommates or in dads basement for ever.

I work in the mentioned embroidery business and we have a decent collection of floppy disks and gear. roughly 300 disks with 40 in circulation being used. about 20 USB floppy drives for PC's and new machines to use disks still. its a handy medium for us. I have one of the local e-waste places collecting anything they get disk related for me , lot of cases which is ok , gotta keep the dust off of the disks so everyone's desk has one now .. we can switch to USB and we do use USB as well so its not like the end of the world when they finally go.

meh .. my friend and i started what is now a multi million dollar company over the past 15 years and we smoke weed everyday .. we smoke at work , just only after 5 .. no one is pushing me out into a street cause i smoke pot , quite the opposite actually.

i started working at a place that would get stacks of flyers across the fax machine every day , they would just toss them in the recycling bin all the while wasting tons of paper and ink .. i started calling all the removal numbers and got it down to zero .. they thought the fax machine was broken haha.

i loved my WRT in the beginning for XLink Kai .. after that when i got a new router i used the WRT as a range extender which was nice until the wifi basically died .. loved tomato.. i think i still have one ..

Brave is Chromium which is google so that one is a bit of a no .. i get it that its not the same and they take out all the phone home code etc but your still supporting google at the end of the day.

i'm the IT guy in my shop so when i got here i switched every machine to firefox + ecosia.org for search and only one guy went back to chrome.. i try and spread the fox around as much i can.

i got extremely lucky buying my first house right in the middle of that recession. paid 101k , got it appraised last year at 190k and the area has gone up since. my second house where i'm at now was right when the prices started going up so a bit more but less wife. i owe alot to that recession.

so cool .. i can verify all the ones in my city , i was in one of the places last night and my buddy owns one of the other ones.

city of 75,000+ and we have 3 public pinball machines.
