Re:Cloudflare experiencing multiple active incidents on Tuesday November 03, 2026 @08:25AM (#50351699)
If you have an error budget, you better spend it or customers will start having unrealistic expectations :)
You must be trolling, this is just getting more dangerous than stupid.

There are NO safe levels provided by any reputable agency. 72μg you provide is about 20 times HIGHER than 3.5μg above which CDC recommends a corrective action.

"The studies are all wrong" -- show us your published work then, professor. I'm sorry but the level of the harmful communication in your comments would have, at this point, be supported by a massive body of evidence confirmed by irrefutable facts, followed by the Nobel prize in medicine.

I really think that if you're seriously thinking all that, you need help.

Re:Can't fish Ethernet? Use "invisible" fiber instead on Monday November 02, 2026 @06:53PM (#50345996)
It probably depends on your house. I struggled in getting sustained 50 Mbps with three powerline adapters and some 5-10 metres between them.
Money and properties he is hoarding would be put to the better use by the people who actually need it.

He's not using even one percent of it. I'd love to help maximise the utilisation of his resources.

Why does the rich cunt think his own observations, about scarcity and allocation, don't apply to him?

TBF I don't give a f* what illegal-war-of-aggression supporter thinks I want.

I want my RAM when I need it, not when my purchased slot at his "cloud" let's me.

I really, really think you ate too many lead chips off the wall as a child.

The effects of neurotoxicity of lead is studied well enough at this point that anyone calling for _more_ lead in children's diet should themselves get tested for heavy metals or straight up admitted to the hospital,

There is NO SAFE LEVEL of exposure to lead. There is no safe amount of lead in blood. Any amount of lead in the organism is toxic and harmful and really, WTF are you even proposing.

Also in plants lead has exclusively negative effects. Negatively affects growth, photosynthesis, inhibits respiration, disrupts mineral nutrition, etc, etc. Worst of all, it accumulates so then it's transferred up the food chain.

Seriously, get yourself a blood test, something's waaaaay off, no one with IQ above 60-ish and with the access to internet should propose lead supplementing of children.

The absence of the evidence is not the evidence of the absence.
Did you just requested "supplementing" children and adolescents with lead?

Looks like you had too much of it yourself :)

That was much rarer though. Now the sad norm is someone's idea, AI code with AI docs and AI "article".

I'm not spending my time on reading something someone claims it's not important enough to write or at least edit. At most I'll send my LLM to check if there's anything useful in the code (but i don't reuse it because I know my harness and tests are sound, not sure about someone so lazy).

Re:Serbia just elected the world's brainiest parliament on Saturday October 31, 2026 @03:38PM (#50319348)
I agree, my thinking was orthogonal to what you're saying (or the other way round).

Seeing how many politicians are utterly corrupt and ignorant cunts certainly a parliament full of people who understand the importance of facts and capable of logical thinking is not worse than career politicians mostly skilled in the game for their team, nothing else.

Re:Serbia just elected the world's brainiest parliament on Saturday October 31, 2026 @09:11AM (#50315887)
Comparing this parliament with a vipers den of the lying career politicians we have in the UK (exposed again during the last budget announcement) I'd say Serbia is unlikely to have it worse.

Being ruled by the career politicians is NOT an advantage, and the innumerable examples from all around the world will prove that.

Re:Serbia just elected the world's brainiest parliament on Saturday October 31, 2026 @09:08AM (#50315857)
I would assume PhD holding people are smart enough to understand their limitations and strengths.

They've been elected during a very special events. They know what's expected of them. Looks like compared to the previous powers this lot at least gives the country a fighting chance.

Re:Cormac McCarthy's Library on Saturday October 31, 2026 @12:21AM (#50313180)
Grim. If you have a kid it might be too much. I couldn't finish it; too much.

(an I'm completely unfazed by anything else. I loved Blood Meridian for example. The Road just takes me out)

So are we just holding it wrong, or is the distinct absence of any mechanism to tune/turn it off for our own good?

Also why you're so dismissive with the 2/4% figure while completely ignoring the TFA analysis and the other examples in their linked github issue?

Seriously, you're adding a feature that silently burns 15-25% tokens (that is burning money for API clients while hiding that fact), take away everything that could be used to mitigate it, and your response is basically, "eh, your numbers are unimportant and ours say it's negligible but since you complain we'll make it a bit cheaper".

Seriously, that looks so intentionally customer-hostile and revenue-friendly, but reading the room no one is surprised.

There are several surprisingly good horror games my daughter likes to play with me.

Roblox is mostly trash content form my perspective, but there are definitely gems in terms of playability.

Twilio is complicit so it rightly affects the number reputation.
Re:Lula wins election after final votes tallied on Monday October 26, 2026 @12:11PM (#50246225)
An hour before sending this comment you read that BOTH sides asked the court for the extension and the COURT has granted it.

I don't think it was the same situation last time.

Not sure what axe you have to grind but it sure looks like you love to present only half of the truth.

Well, there's a reason I don't use Google Gemini at all, just in case their dumb, twitchy autobanner locks me out of everything.
Right, I see, so when there's an opportunity for a rant you get one specific, narrow meaning, discarding anything else, even if more relevant and sensible, and then you go off.

Maybe try Claude Code one day, then you'll recognise what that phrase was actually about.

All the best! You must need it with such attitude to life.

Ah, not being logged in can be a problem. Can pass the Play Services check if you're not logged into Play Services.
Complain to other hardware vendors that they sell insecure crap or do not release updates :/

And yeah, it'll be Motorola from the next year on, but a proper, first party cooperation. I think that Motorola wants to become the answer to the question: "what's the best, safest android smartphone?"

Weird, you should pass the basic and fail the remaining two:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=gr.nikolasspyr...

(FWIW, sometimes when you _block_ the app from the Play Integrity API (in this pop-up) the app that wants to perform the check works, while it fails when you do not block it)

LOL, speaking about the projection.

OK, explain, what to the "just use Claude code" means in your opinion.

From your words it's literally using the coding harness to access Google Photos and fopy/backup these photos/videos, still within the Claude code.

Is this what you'd do? Because that's the only way I'd understand someone to go on such rant.

You're not syncing photos to anthropic services, you're not even using Claude code to run rclone for you, and specifically you're not ingesting every synchronised photo or video into the context.

You're not authorising CC to access your photos.

Claude Code is used to prepare the rclone run.

What do you mean that by using cc you're handing over your data (presumably synced photos) you're handing over your data"?

Re:Today, we hacked what we'd set out to hack: the iPhone on Friday October 23, 2026 @09:53PM (#50217685)
The DAC I specifically linked is the size of my index finger, but since you seem to be casually suggesting that the "shitiest locked full of crapware android phone" and PCs dac are comparable with the dedicated hires dac, maybe you don't really need a phone jack and your audiophile headphones :D

Take care!

Re:Today, we hacked what we'd set out to hack: the iPhone on Friday October 23, 2026 @04:18PM (#50214741)
Instead of relying on the crappy built-in DAC with utterly nasty audio on this shitty phone, you can use a good phone AND your quality headphones: https://www.whathifi.com/best-buys/hi-fi/best-dacs#section-t...

Best of both worlds.

Re:Today, we hacked what we'd set out to hack: the iPhone on Friday October 23, 2026 @02:24PM (#50213326)
Yesno. Not fully because a functionality is not enabled yet.

It wouldn't be advised to buy the latest pixel now anyway, either get the previous one or wait a few months for Motorola Signature 27, where GrapheneOS will be first party OS, and not hated-by-the-vendor bolt-on.

If you insist on the latest pixel, go check the GrapheneOS discussion forum for all the details.

Re:Docker Is Weird on Friday October 23, 2026 @08:29AM (#50207921)
Or multi-container compose files with atypical networking, or troubleshooting daemon permission issues.

Docker is much more than memorising a handful of Dockerfile directives.

Re:eMudhra to Exit Global SSL/TLS Certificate Business on Thursday October 22, 2026 @06:13PM (#50201805)
Haha, yeah, I love these dices; I needed all sorts of weird ones switching between World of Darkness systems and Cyberpunk 2020.

Ill take a look at the game, thank you!

It was selected with a fair dice, guaranteed to be random! :)
