That would be with coke, the modern AGAs are electric and definitely took more than a day before they were at temperature

Would you mind elaborating on the pros and cons of each?
monthly or annually?

Do you mind making this "very good case" for this legal oppression to a non-American?
I would love to use Kagi but it just isn't good enough for non-english usage. I might not be the target demographic but it's a real shame.
Well, if they determine that firing 17% of staff will lead to greater profits then it seems pretty mandatory based on his fiduciary duty to the board.

All depends on the accounts that you follow but I agree that the search function of X is horrible.
No I don't think a lot of Europeans wonder that. On the contrary I think most of us know pretty well which priorities we have made and the effect they have on our economy.

Re:Unlimited Kagi searches for $10 per month on Friday September 22, 2023 @05:30AM (#37609853)
How well does it work for non-English languages? I just tried it out for Swedish and had issues finding relevant results, especially searching for things like restaurants or hospitals.
They are using bitcoin (dirty money) to buy Spotify plays (clean money)
In the Swedish coverage they also identified bot farms that are actively used for this purpose. So it's a bit more than hearsay.
It has the added benefit of both laundering money and acting as advertisement for criminal gangs. Most of the largest rappers were associated with gangs and the artists even got invited to interviews and got played on radio. Plausibly all this made possible by getting the initial publicity through Spotify.
They declined interviews with Swedens largest newspaper and their written response was "we have no evidence money laundering is happening on our platform". Safe so say a lot of Swedish people aren't happy with how they're handling this.

There's probably 3-4 more at least, can't think of them now.

Why would an AI tell you that your java app uses too much CO2? What am I missing?
He can be both, it's not an either or.

You can quite easily plug in your own CI runner on Github and reduce the cost by 20 times or more, especially if you're already running k8s. (I wrote a post about it for the cheap managed k8s service I built https://symbiosis.host/blog/using-actions-runners)

Instead of Intercom I can recommend crisp.chat which has a free tier if you can live with only 2 seats.

How would WASM alleviate any of the issues that has led to complex frameworks in JS-land?

Not sure what point you're trying to make here? Policymaking to limit access to unhealthy food isn't particularly controversial and if there weren't more pressing issues were I live I'd love for politicians to push it further.

What exactly would "subsidize" mean in this context? If they're charging way less than they need to break even isn't that technically a subsidized ride?
Re:We raised a bunch of money on Wednesday June 28, 2023 @12:18PM (#36508655)
I'vve consulted for companies of all shapes and in many different industries and when it comes to container orchestration there are many hard requirements that platforms like Heroku or Render don't address. If you can carve out a niche for SMBs then great. Maintaining that lead in such a competitive segment with price sensitive customers is hard.

I have no doubt that fly.io is a market leader right now just judging just by optics, but I think it is hard to maintain that lead in this segment just as I think it may be difficult to go upmarket with this type of product.

Re:We raised a bunch of money on Wednesday June 28, 2023 @11:17AM (#36507733)
I'm really struggling to understand fly.io's path to profitability considering the relatively low margins for SMB/hobby clouds. They could have the whole world on their free tier but what happens when it's time for EQT to cash out?

Can they build enough features to make fly.io a serious option for companies? I just can't see myself using it or pushing for it at any of the companies I've worked for unless it's a <5 person team with no need to scale in sight.

ChatGPT is ALWAYS doing stuff like this to me. Suggest code that doesn't compile, suggest SIMD instructions that don't exist, reiterate on incorrect answers with the exact same answer, etc. Granted I use ChatGPT 3.5.
I'd also really love to hear an answer to this question. The difference isn't really clear from the comparison on this page: https://wasmer.io/products/edge
Re:FF4J – Feature Flags for Java on Wednesday June 07, 2023 @08:55AM (#36226195)
We've been using Togglz (https://www.togglz.org/) and have had no issues so far. FF4J does seem to be a bit more feature rich though.
Can you define "heavy users"?

In the same building is quite a bit different than 10km apart, even if a huge meteor would lead to the same conclusion for both scenarios.

I didn't imply anything, I was asking for his reasoning since he didn't provide any.

And I'm not sure how to respond to anyone that buckets people into those that do and those that don't matter. Your argument doesn't seem to be made in good faith.

Such a weird attack and downvote just for asking for a clarification?
