didn't it take legal threats from the EU to ultimately make it happen?
i feel like that's the point with LLMs or i'm misreading your comment.
yes they did. and they voted for another trade war. they're amazingly dependable for voting against their own self interests.

so use the cheap model to do the work and the expensive domestic model to audit?
* can't (?)
people are still buying tf2 loot boxes?
why would NATO join the attacks? NATO is a defensive agreement, not a "kick a hornets nest and drag your former friends into it" agreement

but elon said he would share the excesses with us!
just means they will install more cameras to capture driver faces or buy cellphone data
> We did okay for hundreds of thousands of years. Did Big Advertising get the best of us and make us needlessly devote expenses and energy?

ever since my wife was pregnant i've actually started paying attention to the advertising targeted at women. Holy shit, I feel so bad for them. It's easy for me to laugh at and ignore the "if you buy (this product) then this sexy woman will be attracted to you" ads (spoiler: she won't). But their advertising is very much "you should feel bad about yourself for not buying this, because it means you don't love your (self |child |pet |whatever." It really tugs at emotions and capitalizes on insecurities.

And they do it to themselves a lot of the times, it's not just the big companies doing it, it's female influencers trying to maximize their referrals/sales.

it's a reference to the last time Apple tried this in Austin, their production was throttled due to the inability of their screw supplier to meet demand.

Because it's Persona you can also count on every ICE body cam that is having facial recognition performed by Palantir has access to this data.
they dont care. it never stopped sales in a meaningful way and only punished the sellers. same way visa/mastercard dont care about identity fraud.. it's the seller's problem.

To quote the current US administration - One of ours, All of yours
but now is exactly the time to do it because so many people are mad about immigration and you can blame it on immgrants instead of a thirsty desire to surveil.

they need to ensure future, potential customers and the best way to do that is to own them and tell them to buy your goods.

in five years, NVDA's business strategy will be like CocaCola's, forcing bottlers to buy their syrups.

anyone know why these photos have random paperclip/clippy icons?
Re:Novo Nordisk's Canadian Mistake on Sunday October 19, 2025 @08:51PM (#45639312)
it's extremely common. everyone i know that's on a glp-1 does it this way. that way you can buy it in bulk for a discount. i buy mine roughly 35 weeks worth of doses at a time.
Re:Novo Nordisk's Canadian Mistake on Sunday October 19, 2025 @07:22PM (#45638915)
Bacteriostatic water is widely available and you hydrate it in the container it comes in. Its pretty easy. I promise you you probably know someone on a glp-1 that is already doing this.
Re:Novo Nordisk's Canadian Mistake on Sunday October 19, 2025 @05:56PM (#45638404)
the shelf life is probably longer than that if you buy it in dehydrated form and don't hydrate it (but i have no idea)
it's worse than that.. if you spam alt+f4 or wait long enough it will eventually let you install without an MS account
Re:Alaska CEO: We found many loose bolts on our Max planes on Wednesday January 24, 2024 @08:39AM (#39117181)
but that's because if they flew over water and had a depressurization event then the plane and everyone on it dies. There aren't a lot of airports between the continental US and Hawaii and jets burn an insane amount of fuel at 10,000' MSL, which almost guarantees a water landing. However, over land, the plane can simply divert and land. And at the time of the incident, Alaska believes the problem was with the light/sensor and not the structure.
Orders and deliveries are two different thing. Orders taken today are for years in the future, and deliveries made today were taken as orders years ago. This is true from Cessna up to Boeing.
Re:U.S. National Park Service API on Monday January 22, 2024 @07:09AM (#39088615)
I think it's the ACH API, you need a routing number, account number, and a price tag for your local republican.
what is the incentive of an ev owner to use that site?
Re:Judge blocks JetBlue from acquiring Spirit Airlines on Tuesday January 16, 2024 @11:13PM (#39023193)
The problem is that Spirit is but going to survive 2024. Between their debt situation and a number of their A320 Neos about to be grounded thanks to a Pratt and Whitney eff-up, they won't be around long enough to keep anything competitive.
I believe that's only true for planes flying over/through other countries, and it is not universal. In order for a plane to be sold in EASA governed countries it has to be certified by the EASA. So in effect, the 737 is getting certified twice. In general aviation there's this common misconception that the Cirrus SR line can't recover from a stall, which is because the FAA drops spin recovery testing if you ship with a BRS (parachute). Reality is, when the SR line was certified by the EASA it was required to demonstrate spin recovery. Another discrepancy is that the EASA does not recognize "experimental" has a category of aircraft, so an FAA classified home built experimental that flies to an EASA country would not be allowed to take off after unless the national government has rules that allow it (also applies to ultralights).
