Re:Bootflat: Open Source Flat UI Kit based on Twitter Bootstrap 3

This is not nearly as good as Designmodo's Flat UI. Seems that people are just going to keep making Flat design kits because they are easy.

This is such a silly comment.
If people can't show their opinions of things, whats the point of even having HN. I didn't realise that everyone had to love everything posted on this site.

I agree, an update to their blog post with HN numbers would be cool
Re:Where To Find Your First 2,000 Beta Signups

Good story, but I think you are forgetting that they are just after Beta users to test their product and find flaws and bugs. They will most likely finish Beta and then focus on growing their user-base with people who are likely to pay for their product.
Beta testers don't necessarily have to be the customers who are going to stay with you forever.

Just going to put this out there.. I'm not a fan of Sean Parker, but he's done pretty well for himself so far. Either he's a genius or always seems to be in the right place at the right time
Re:Braintree is giving $50k in processing to every startup
on Thursday March 06, 2014 @04:36PM (#7356786)
I think this is a really great way of enticing new startups. Yes it's to get them more business, but for once it actually brings a good benefit of $1400+ for startups.
I would use Braintree for things like this.

Stripe Checkout is amazing. Used it for a few months and it's worked extremely well. Glad they are constantly updating it. Looks even better than it did before.

When I initially looked at the new update I thought 'this is perfect', but after reading this comment, I look again and it really isn't.
Re:Contact lens-based Google Glass competitor unveiled at CES 2014
on Wednesday March 05, 2014 @01:32PM (#7348773)
Personally I think I prefer Google Glass to this product. I think most of the privacy concerns that Google are experiencing will be the same/worse for the Contact lens product.
What do you think?

Re:Ask HN: Heroku or AWS or?
on Wednesday March 05, 2014 @11:32AM (#7347902)
Personally, I love Heroku. It's amazing for scaling your application. Don't jump in the deep end with AWS, scale your site easily with Heroku.
