I've never encountered ONE single grocery store, or store for that matter, that accepts bitcoin as payment.
People lie. It's really that simple. They give no data to back up their statistics, and we're expected to believe it as truth since they are in a position of power.
Much different than it was a few years ago. I had a response rate of about 60% and had multiple interviews each week. Now I would say my response rate is about 10% at the moment.
Friendship isn't an all or nothing proposition. You don't have to be perfectly aligned with another persons' morals and values to be friends with them. Sometimes just having one or two things in common is what is needed to keep those bonds going.
Go after the recycling centers that buy these. Fine them into submission. Watch the market dry up.
Not every law is right just because it's a law.
I used to listen to that several times a year to motivate myself to do more and not let the months and years pass me by.
Very few people work in something they truly enjoy. And so logically they try to do as little as possible.
Just like trans people came up with their 'cis people' propaganda to deal with their uncomfortableness with non-trans people.
An eye for an eye makes the world blind...
If you don't like to work in office, find a remote job, end of story.
That's exactly what Apple's director did. He resigned to find a remote job. There is no drama in that, other than it being reported and people talking about it. Many workers (myself included) simply refuse to go back into the office. It's quickly becoming an archaic social norm that you have to have your butt in an office chair to be productive. That simply isn't true. The employer has the right to set their work terms, just as the worker has the rights to set their work terms too.
Not sure where you're sourcing your recipes from, but just as a heads up - someone tried this a while back by scraping sites to just pull the recipes and there was an uproar by all of the "mommy blogs".

I personally don't see anything wrong with this, as I too hate these food recipe sites telling stories just to get adsense clicks.
It would not surprise me if down the road we get some kind of leak or revelation saying that top management of many large corporations colluded to force everyone back into the office. Of course that's just speculation at this point, but it really does feel like there's no good reason to force people back other than justifying their office space expense and a reason for middle management to exist.
The pandemic has let the cat out of the bag in terms of working remotely and being productive. But some c-level executives are stuck in the past and want to return to it.
Ever since streaming and, more recently, the pandemic, has affected box office numbers, they seem to be playing it very safe in terms of getting a decent ROI.
One of the last few directors that makes original films (Christopher Nolan) has only had success, I believe, because he's made recent hits. Studios are more willing to take a chance on him. Francis, on the other hand, hasn't had a successful hit since the 1970's. While no one doubts his greatness, one could argue he has peaked and his name doesn't carry the cache that directors like Steven Spielberg or Quentin Tarantino have.
From your comments you seem like a very learned individual, possibly with much education, who comments about many different subjects and has much knowledge accumulated in each. Some people may find this off-putting, perhaps even being a bit jealous, because of the breadth of your interests and knowledge.
You have a very extensive vocabulary and your writing style is very organized. You use section dividers: — ⁂ — which, while appreciated to keep things easy to read, might come off as pretentious and trying to show off.
Some comments may come off as racist or biased, while all you're trying to do is engage in discussion and present a different viewpoint.
There is so much to learn in the world, that there is no need to dumb things down for others, no need to fall in line with what the thought-du-jour is on a subject, and no need to be ashamed for wanting to better ourselves in both knowledge and understanding. I feel this way, and I hope you do too.
I personally believe that another community is needed to get to the level of discussion you're after. I would go to that site. But I hope you don't become discouraged and stop posting here. Because even if people don't engage with your comments, or perhaps down-vote you because they feel threatened or put off by what I mentioned above, there are those (like myself) that read things and learn from them. We may not comment much, but we're out there.
