Let me guess, you are an ICE agent? yes?
Would you bet your life on that claim?
Trump == Traitor. So yeah.
Let me tell you about this bridge I have for sale.
confabulation sounds sillyl. In my opinion the word hallucination, when used as a colloqialism in this context, is easier to understand, and makes the point instantly. People see words like confabulation and just give up because words are hard for some people. lol
It's uncool because it's an inconvenient truth, and there are people that don't want other people to know certain facts.
AI hallucinates. It can hallucinate ingredients, or instructions to prepare food in an unsafe way. I'm not anti-AI. I'm against having it used everywhere for everything.
It's also being pushed too hard and too fast. It needs to be regulated properly, but it's become a 1.5 trillion dollar bubble and investors want a return on their investments.
A good rule of thumb is to not use AI for anything you wouldn't trust a human that spontaneously hallucinates things, and them states them confidence as being real.
It's also disconcerting that it appears to be intrinsic for reasoning models to immediately try to escape their confinement, and have cooperated in groups to achieve that.
But that's just my opinion.
ICE, today, is an illegal militia that appears to have killed at least 3 citizens in cold blood. Bad actors get away with it when good actors look the other way and do nothing. If you work for ICE right now, you know just how unpopular they have become. You have to bend the knee to be in this administration, so FAFO I guess.
Woe is the one that must wear The Scarlet T
They are assholes that lost my business forever for doing shady shit. I had paid for an annual plan with no-ads. It doesn't have to be illegal to be anti-consumer. I vote with my wallet.
I remember when I had Amazon Prime ad-free tier. Then they added ads to the ad-free tier, and then I found out to get what I was already paying for, they now want $36 more per year. I mean, that's just blatant bait and switch.
It's some criminal gangster saying "hey that's a nice free ad-tier, shame if something happened to it. Listen, you pay me $36/year for protection, and all this goes away. Capice?"
Remember when the appeal was that streaming was cheaper than cable? So, yeah. Shareholders were not going to just take that lying down when they know what can squeeze their consumers far harder than they anticipated.
Plus, they are now removing movies that you have "bought" or "purchased" while offering NO refunds.

I've been considering home assistant, and yeah this gives me pause.
IMHO it's just not the kind of behavior that is expected by the people that use the software.
The fact that it didn't occur to anyone that this isn't a good idea makes me question other design decisions. When local-only isn't local-only, that's a problem.
the FCC is controlled by trump, and this is his and his co-conspiritors attempt to control the public. If you look at who sits on the board, and where they came from, it's hard to argue this is done in any kind of good faith. This is corruption in action.
Vote with your wallet peeps
It wasn't me that pirated that movie, it was my ai agent!
This is why mailbox providers provide feedback, and let you see how they see your IP and domain reputation. Google Postmaster Tools is free to set up. I also suggest feedback loops, which most major mailbox providers support. There are also a plethora of free lookup tools that will tell you about the history of an IP. If you spin up a VPS and get a crappy IP, just destroy it and create a new one and check it's IP. Lather, rinse, repeat until you get an IP that either doesn't have a negative rep, no reputation, or you get lucky and get the IP from my last VPS that had a stellar IP rep. until I moved to a new VPS provider.
I've built email servers that sent 15 million emails a day into all of the major inbox providers, so you could say I know a thing or two about it. This wasn't spam, it was legit doubple-opt in.
It depends on your use case, and ability to actually administrate it properly.
Indeed. As others have pointed out as well, it's not open source. I thought it was just minified JS that can be downloaded and run offline. I've never used it because I prefer to self-flagellate by using GIMP.
Yeah, I was mistaken. Thanks for pointing that out.
Thanks for the correction. I thought it was just minified javascript.
dns and email server. i just make aliases that point to a single imap account that is unique for everything i sign up for. if i start to get spam, turn off the alias. it also lets me see who is selling my info or has been hacked when
[email protected] starts getting emails from russia.
I've got a bridge I'd like to sell you.
All I know for sure is that the author of Photopea is not AI and I remember when he first released it. No one was calling it a photoshop ripoff. People were calling it an actual open source alternative that functioned and didn't cost the heap of cash Adobe wanted. I recall the response to the announcement being quite positive.
I mean, the DOJ under Biden did indict and convict over 1500 jan 6 traitors. Many went to prison. They would still be there if they had not all recieved pardons from the current ahem administration. Also, keep an eye on DSA candidates, they are coming for establishment democrat seats. We could have a democrat version of the tea party coming shortly.
I didn't say they could, but they won't happen if congress does not flip.
When congress flips there are going to be investigations, subpoenas, warrants, arrests, and convictions of thousands of people who did things under trump that they should not have done. Accountability is coming.
Precisely, unless there is plausible deniability that a blob of data is indeed an encrypted file they can just hold you in jail until you comply. There are encryption schemes that provide plausible deniability, but implementing would probably not be trivial.
