Amazon pays taxes, not sure how anybody still believes this piece of misinformation. You do realize it is Congress who creates the tax rules to begin with, so if anyone is at fault for the tax 'loop holes' these companies leverage, it's corrupt legislators.

"In 2017, Amazon paid close to $1 billion in income tax. In 2018, the amount jumped to $1.18 billion, accounting for local, state, and international taxes."

Re:Removing Coordinated Inauthentic Behavior from Russia on Thursday January 17, 2019 @12:14PM (#18932522)
Does Facebook have the same amount of concern for massive "Coordinated Inauthentic Behavior" campaigns originating from Israel/JIDF and US Intelligence Agencies that dwarf the Russian ones pointed out in this post?

Re:On Redis master-slave terminology on Thursday September 06, 2018 @05:55PM (#17929961)
Good job antirez, do not give into ideologically possessed control freaks and busybodies that actively seek out offense in everything. You can never fully satisfy them so don't even bother trying. They do not care about the 'morality' of the master/slave language here, but merely use it as a tool to control behavior of others and exert unearned power over your project. It's a pathetic power play, and nothing more.

Re:Insecam: Large Directory of Unsecure Cameras on Wednesday December 28, 2016 @05:35PM (#13274274)
From the site:

- Only filtered cameras are available now. This way none of the cameras on Insecam invade anybody's private life.

The article doesn't mention the FBI most wanted list, where did you get that from? Are you confusing ROKSO w/ the FBI? Spamhaus is a crooked extortion organization ran by former spammers themselves, not some squeaky clean protectors of the Internet.

Re:Why Wikipedia is Dying on Wednesday November 16, 2016 @11:15PM (#12974205)
LOL, so wikipedia is dying because this one person thought it would be a great idea to store personal recipe archive on it and admins deleted it. That's not really compelling evidence.

What a shocking surprise Cringely has no earthly idea how tech companies actually get things done. He's becoming more irrelevent every day, thankfully.

I got 99 problems, but missing articles ain't one.

Get cheap block accounts from various providers, ideally one from each major reseller, configure them as backup/fill servers.
