Re:Leaked Emails: Norwegian Pressures Sales Team to Lie About Coronavirus

This recent coronavirus outbreak has been very enlightening, cause it gaves us more information on why cruises are a bad idea, and perfect for an epidemic. The same air is recirculating among all cabins.
However, it does not explain why we haven't heard of flu outbreaks in cruises before this coronavirus. It seems cruises are perfect for the proliferation of any airborne virus.

Agree with you. I feel whoever put page up, who is brave enough to curse, but not enough to indicate his name, should leave his little social bubble and look at the reality of lower income folks. For a lot of people, telecommuting is not a reality. I foresee a lot of people being highly impacted financially, if a quarantine is declared in the USA, which lacks a lot of social assistance regulations from other countries.

Missing links to benchmarks.
Also, Json is not really a good baseline for comparison. If you support binary data natively in the format, you should compare it to Bson.

Is "Not so technical" euphemism for naive? This sucks, but also seems like a low effort scam.

I feel Quora's content quality is slowly becoming more like the dreaded Yahoo! Answers.

Did I just travel to an alternative dimension?
Moviefone, Fandango? Never heard of any of these names. Are they supposed to be big brands?

I guess you cannot share the portfolio of companies, for privacy reasons, but it'd be interesting to know at least how many companies even use this service.
It'd be also nice to see how faster the application process becomes. For example, how long does it take, on average, for a developer to receive an offer, once he subscribes?

When >98% are surviving it, it's not much of a bias.

Re:How to brainstorm great business ideas

From the article :
"It's been said that ideas don't matter, execution does. I wholeheartedly disagree. You need both to succeed, but you can only get so good at execution. A great idea gives you much more leverage."
I think it underestimates execution. A great execution makes the dumbest ideas succeed. Reminds me of 'potatoparcel.com'. The business is solely focused on mailing potatoes, which sounds ridiculous, but it found its place.

I wonder why people/news seem so obsessed about the death rate itself, while ignoring the incidence of permanent organ tissue damage caused in survivors, as some papers already indicate. I'm assuming this has to be studied further.

Well, Git itself is not a good tool for handling large dataset files. In most cases, you're not interested in deltas between commits. The size of your repo can also grow or of control pretty quickly.
As a dirty workaround, you have Git-LFS to do that for you. People tend to use it in repos with a lot of multimedia assets. This works well in many cases, but it has its own pitfalls as well.

Well, it's just Kashmir, which is as close to become a tech booming region as those remote tribes in the middle of the amazon rainforest.
