It takes much less time to learn it at a playable level than tennis. In my opinion, learning tennis and being able to hit a powerful drive is much more rewarding, but nowadays people don’t want to “waste” time in improving technique.

Was that a bug or a failure to inform pilots about a new system?
As expected, bureaucrats completely out of touch with current technology producing regulations that are out of touch with current technology

My experience is that each question I ask or point I make produces an answer that validates my thinking. After two or three iterations in a row in this style I end up distrusting everything.
You are not addressing the point in the comment, why are failing CI changes assigned?
I understand this feeling. When I was younger I took a lot of time preparing and taking meaningless random pictures.

Years later I started taking pictures only with the people I was with.

Nowadays that smartphones got much better, I just start recording a video of the moments I think will be worth remembering, but without paying much attention to the frame, I just record and that’s it.

Years later when you watch them it feels much more vivid than watching a still dead photo.

Maybe the housing crisis is related to the lack of legal security that owners have, which severely reduced the offer and obviously increased the prices.

The housing law that the current government passed wasn’t very clever…

Squatting is a problem, period. Doesn’t matter if the house is empty or not.

Re:How Lego builds a new Lego set on Friday December 15, 2023 @08:13AM (#38653824)
Absolutely agree… I think in early 2000 they found a nice sweet spot where you bought a set to build a particular object, but all of them featured a fairly common set of pieces. So after a while of having it in the shelve it could be repurposed.

Re:A Matter of Millimeters: The story of Qantas flight 32 on Sunday December 10, 2023 @03:35AM (#38590103)
I agree, and also I enjoy the attitude. While in my profession the postmortems goal is finding who to blame, here the attitude is towards preventing it to happen again, no matter what. Or at least that’s how I feel.
Re:The hidden beauty of Berlin's indoor pools on Sunday November 19, 2023 @03:54AM (#38330626)
I think the best city for this is Budapest, which in addition to swimming pools it has termal waters. Very nice to go during winter months.
Re:Study finds influence of smaller Jersey numbers on perception on Thursday September 07, 2023 @03:16PM (#37424142)
