Some people have a hard time admitting a that a few GPUs can outperform them.

I was one of those people. Weren't we all?

I've been using OpenPencil as a drop-in replacement for Figma and it works fine for my needs. These days there are open source alternatives just as good as commercial solutions if you're willing to get your hands dirty and self host.

LLM's introduces problems, and it finds them in its own internal thinking. But instead of actually modifying the previous generated answer to fix the real issue, it adds another layer to deterministically guard around it, greatly expanding the scope of the fix. This scales with effort, and the result is spaghetti and with a side of bugs.

Best to stick with a high end model + low effort, do a manual pass on high effort and fix the bugs you know are reachable.

Try planning with Luna, implementing with Sol with guidelines to not exceed the given scope.

Sounds counter-intuitive at first, but Luna is overall better at sticking with what works. Sol is wicked smart but needs constraints.

The "chemical imbalance" theory is objectively wrong, but still useful in that it conveys the fact that mental disorders have physical causes. It's a purposeful simplification.

I expect Google will drop a new SOTA model soon. Rumor has it they're training a new model from the ground-up, which takes a while.

Anthropic's models are downright terrible at visual reasoning and design.

Gemini is fantastic, however.

Re:Kimi K2.7 Code is generally available in GitHub Copilot on Thursday July 02, 2026 @03:36AM (#48757860)
CoPilot was an insanely good value while it lasted. Only moneysoft could subsidize a service that much.

A very welcomed addition, hopefully I can replace fdk-aac
Agreed. Things are really bad right now. But they've been bad before. We helped rebuild Germany after they started world wars.

They don't. Life expectancy of a Russian on the front line is hours. You just send in another wave.

MacOS doesn't have to force it, users will gladly sign into their iCloud account. Virtually nobody uses the Windows Store, but the Mac App Store is a necessity given how restricted 3rd party apps are on macOS now.
