Equity, what DEI policies push for, means discriminating against successful groups and in favor of unsuccessful groups in the aim of ensuring equal outcomes. Equality would be treating each group the same, i.e. equal opportunity. Equality is good. Equity, aka DEI policy, is retarded, especially for jobs where lack of competence leads to deaths.
It is true, obviously. That should result in less blacks working the job than Whites. Cognitively impaired people should not be air traffic controllers.

Obviously untrue. Diverse teams result in workforces that are harder to unionize because they have less in common. They introduce language and cultural barriers that disrupt communication. They hinder innovation because the types of people that want diverse workforces are ironically never interested in diverse ideas. They produce worse results across the board, which explains enshittification in literally all areas touched by DEI and why the US is losing the tech race to China specifically.

I don't like incompetent people. Especially when they're responsible for keeping other people alive. This is what separates me from a leftist, who cares more about giving unearned freebies to black people and discriminating against any successful group than protecting human lives.
Yeah that's the real issue here, that the anti-White discrimination wasn't complimentary of blacks enough.
Or you stop trying to force blacks into the job and hire whoever applies and is the most qualified. This way people don't die just so leftists can feel satisfied.

I only use smart devices for lights and thermostat. Things like oven, washer/dryer, coffee machine require some physical interaction so I feel like it's mostly pointless to have them be smart.
