this seems to be the true killer app of AI - accountability proxies. its interpersonal opium to have a third party that two ostensibly-in-conflict people can sink their negativity into.

its a major reason why military use of AI is so chilling - "look, I explicity ASKED the murderbot not to kill babies when I authorized the napalm strike on the maternity ward! BAD BOT"

'why is reselling stolen stuff bad'

if the professor took all human knowledge, much of which was explicitly not free, and used it to make a for-profit knowledge machine that extrudes unreliable summaries of that knowledge, then yes, being obligated to teach for free would be a fitting punishment.

or, perhaps, they are wryly pushing back against the USA capturing a generic geographic term for themselves
could you provide some further information on this? it seems to contradict other studies, such as: - https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC11239739/
the suffering is mainly because of extreme wealth hoarding and profoundly selfish use of resources; overcrowding could be easily solved for all people if we as a species decided it was important
